One of the best parts is the professors—they are knowledgeable and, in many cases, genuinely supportive. When you show interest and put in effort, they are approachable and willing to help, which makes a big difference.
I also liked the balance between lectures and projects. There are opportunities to work on practical assignments that help you understand how things work in real life, not just on paper. It feels good when you can apply what you’ve learned.
Another big plus is the flexibility. If you’re motivated, you can explore research, join projects, or even connect with industry opportunities. The environment encourages you to grow at your own pace.

View moreI and many students appreciate its practical approach to learning, with hands-on labs, real-world projects, and opportunities to connect with industry, which can be really useful when preparing for a career. The environment is quite international and the city of Kaunas itself is affordable and student-friendly, making daily life relatively comfortable. At the same time, experiences can vary depending on the program and professors—some students mention that teaching quality is inconsistent and that a few lecturers rely on outdated methods or struggle with English. There’s also a strong expectation of independence, so you need to be proactive and self-motivated rather than relying heavily on guidance. Overall, KTU offers good value for money and a decent academic foundation, but how much you gain from it really depends on how actively you engage with your studies and opportunities.
