Really good university with a good equipment in labs, comfortable buildings location and very nice sports activities! But I think university has to improve sports sections and a little bit upgrade KTU football stadium so that would be enough to make sports here more popular
View moreThis university provides lots of opportunities for a wide variety of students with different needs. My specific study programme has a lot of competent and passionate lecturers / professors who curate each module with great care. Also during laboratory works we get a chance to use a variety of different and interesting types of equipments (which sometimes can be outdated but still relevant).
After the lectures, this university also provides opportunities to express yourselves in different activities related to your hobbies, in which students get a chance to find similar minded friends. There is also a modern library, in which students can rent out rooms to study in groups or alone if they prefer that.
There are good teachers, and good course materials, but sometimes you come across downright bad ones, it depends on luck, plus old equipment. On the other hand, it gives a lot of opportunity for implementation through partnerships and various programs
View moreOne of the reasons I chose to go to this university is because they had the program I wanted to study, which was material science.
The end reason why I decided to go here was not only the study program but also the price of the studies.
I would have to say overall, my opinion is good. However, I do think there is too much theory and not enough practice and I think this could be a problem because practice is a very important part of jobs.
The campus is very nice and I like the concept of how the city is the campus and I have to say that after the first couple weeks everything is very easy to navigate. I am lost few times nowadays.
Another thing I like is the timing of the class, we have very sectioned off times for each class and it allows me to have a very structured day. I also like that the classes are an hour and a half, if they were longer I think I wouldn’t be able to focus on everything, but if they were shorter it would feel pointless to go to class for so long.
Something I don’t like it the fact everything seems to be in Lithuanian. Some of the newsletters we get are in English but most are not, makes sense because they are only in that language. However, I would like the same amount of opportunities as all the other students.
I like the way professors teach us!! We have opportunities in this university to participate in different activities that affect our career!!
Highly recommend this university future students who want to choose and pursue their education 🙂
I can say that I am very pleased because there are no situatıons that couls cause problems from a student’s perspectıve in my school. The biggest example is there is no accommodation problem. While students in most countries have problems with this issue, you can easily say that you will not have any problems based on the 16 dormitories that KTU has. I can say that the fact that the student infocentre can be easily found on the main campus is the biggest proof of how easily and quickly the student can access the information needed and not feel alone, and of course, the presence of people from different cultures increases your empathy, it will improve your abilities and change your perspective on the world.
View moreAs a second-year student, I can now say that the university is good in all aspects, first in terms of the scientific atmosphere as a whole and in terms of the endless services it provides as living and scientific services, and also we must not forget the laboratories.
The advanced and good university housing as a whole and the atmosphere at the university are good for studying, in addition to the international atmosphere and mixing with all nationalities and cultures.
I hold a positive view of my university, which offers a lot of opportunities encompassing exchange and talent programs, career prospects, scholarship initiatives, and more. Nevertheless, there exist certain drawbacks associated with this academic institution. Foremost among these is the linguistic issue. For instance, all student organizations operate exclusively in their native languages, which can make international students feel left out.
One noteworthy aspect of my university is its provision of the GIFTed and SKILLed student programs, which are designed for students to enhance their knowledge by participating in business and finance challenges. Also, every year the university conducts WANTed Career days, which makes the finding a job and an internship process easier for students. Additionally, the university offers a lot of opportunities for receiving both monthly and one-time scholarships. For those who are dedicated to self-improvement, I would wholeheartedly recommend this university. By studying here, you will not only get practical skills, but also numerous invaluable soft skills crucial for future career prospects.
