From my perspective, the university has met my expectations regarding my course, the level of requirements was higher than expected, the quality provided and expected in each project is high, and the results are equivalent to the effort put into them.
I am satisfied with my program and the opportunities I have had along the way.
Language has never been a barrier to me, but I did encounter a few tasks that required me to translate or ask further questions, but the university staff and colleagues were always willing to help 🙂
The key to this program is to ask and you shall receive.
Just keeping in mind the core of this subject is design and research. As it prepares you to be creative in a working environment and solve problems, it also prepares you for an academic life, and to do doctorate research.

Good university with good infrastructure overall.
The professors are nice and try to help you succeed.
I had a nice experience there for the 5 months I stayed there.
I would recommend it to someone who wants to do an Erasmus in Lithuania.

More than just drawing, it has been a mixture of logic, sense, creativity, space to develop research approaches, find solutions to current urban problems.
Develop analytic and designing skills for all type of projects and situations; while accessing to high technology in the faculty.

Overall, a time consuming career with a supportive faculty can turn to be a lifestyle and develop productivity while exposing yourself to a professional environment.

I love the fact that the university pushes you to dig your own grave and it’s either you fall deep into it and die or you get out of it and be reborn as a better and stronger person… You are always being taught about the harsh reality of life after university ends and you start to learn how to embrace it…

KTU has been a solid choice for my studies. The university strikes a good balance between strong technical foundations and modern, practical skills. Lecturers are generally knowledgeable and many have industry experience, which makes classes more relevant. The campus in Kaunas is well-equipped, with updated labs, libraries, and study spaces that make group work easier.

What I appreciate most is KTU’s focus on innovation and international exposure. There are lots of Erasmus opportunities, hackathons, and partnerships with companies like Continental, Teltonika, and Bentley Systems. If you take advantage of them, you graduate with more than just theory. Student organizations and events also make campus life active.

It’s not without flaws. Some courses still feel too theoretical, and administrative processes can be slow and bureaucratic. Workload during exam sessions gets intense, and not all faculties have the same level of resources. Finding dorms can also be competitive.

Overall, KTU gives you the tools to succeed if you’re proactive. The degree is respected by Lithuanian employers and increasingly abroad too. You get out what you put in. For anyone wanting a technical education with real industry links in the Baltics, KTU is a strong 4/5 choice.

Kaunas University of Technology in my opinion is not the worst university in Lithuania, but for sure has a lot of place to improve. I do like the simplicity of the university policies, but the selective attention to most popular study fields (IT, some engineering fields, etc.) bothers me. Smaller academic groups and their study fields are as important and the big ones.

When you are surrounded by all the colleagues are high tech prepared, the environment got challenged if you are not prepared, for that reason being in KTU helped me to go through many skills that I am pretty sure got me a better perspective as a professional.
