View moreI really like the system and efforts that teachers do. In my opinion it’s a really good place to study and boost your learning and skills.
Good and fixed studying schedule and everything is well organized
Overall this country is very cheap which is why I chose it, however they dont have the quality of produce as they have in my country. Besides this small thing I would say the studies are okay.
I am a very good student and I won the talent scholarship which really helps me out financially. I am also the elder of my group but it id hard because everything is in Lithuanian and they translate badly. Also thestudent organisation doesn’t do enough in my opinion.
I have made good friends and there is stores nearby. I like to cook but the oven doesn’t work. But its okay.
I like to go to the student center and play pool and table tennis and it has different activities that I go to sometimes. I also like to practice video games there.
I also like going to the gym which is easy yo register for and I can go on runs near the park.
I have teachers which sometimes laugh at my jokes which makes the classes better.
When I applied to uni nearly five years ago, I would have never guessed that this place would turn me into the person I am today. KTU is full of talented individuals who strive to get knowledge. It is great when you can study in the afternoon, and after a busy day at uni, hang out with friends in the city or attend one of university’s events. Unforgettable memories from such a lovely place as KTU will always follow me along my life path.
View moreAs a second-year student in the Bachelor’s program for Aviation Engineering at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), my journey in this program has been a mixed bag of experiences. There are both strengths and weaknesses that I’d like to shed light on to provide a comprehensive view for prospective students.
Advantages:
One of the notable strengths of this program is the solid academic foundation it provides. The professors, who often come with industry experience, are highly dedicated and thorough in their teaching methods. Their in-depth explanations and guidance have been invaluable, making the learning experience enriching and insightful, especially in courses directly related to aviation engineering.
Additionally, the Aviation Engineering program at KTU benefits from a close-knit student community. The camaraderie among students fosters a sense of belonging and support, which is particularly important when facing the challenges of a demanding field like aviation engineering. It also provides opportunities for peer learning and networking, which can be beneficial for future collaboration in the industry.
As for the dormitories, while I don’t personally reside in them, I’ve observed a range in their quality. Some appear habitable but have experienced issues with construction quality, impacting the overall living conditions. On the other hand, there are dormitories that are almost akin to well-furnished apartments. The variation in dormitory quality allows students to select accommodations that align with their preferences and comfort levels, providing flexibility in housing options.
Disadvantages:
However, there are significant drawbacks in the program that need addressing. The most prominent one is the absence of practical experiences. Aviation engineering is a field that thrives on real-world application, yet we are lacking opportunities for hands-on learning and actual aviation projects. The absence of these practical elements can hinder our preparedness for the challenges we’ll face in our aviation careers. It’s a critical area where improvement is urgently needed to align the program more closely with industry needs.
Additionally, some courses appear to revisit basic knowledge, which can be frustrating, especially for students who enter the program with prior experience. This redundancy can impact the program’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.
In conclusion, while there are evident strengths in the Aviation Engineering program at KTU, such as dedicated professors and a supportive student community, there are significant areas that require attention and enhancement. Most notably, the absence of practical experiences is a significant shortcoming that needs to be addressed to make the program more effective and relevant for aspiring aviation engineers. Furthermore, the presence of certain redundant courses can be a source of frustration. It’s also important to consider that the quality of dormitories varies, offering students choices according to their preferences. Despite these challenges, the program shows promise and remains a potential avenue for those passionate about aviation engineering, with the understanding that active participation, specialization, and practical experiences are key to maximizing its benefits.
