2. France

MBAs in France

It’s not a big surprise that France tops the list of best places to study in Europe. The number of reasons why students choose to study there are many. Students love that France welcomes a big part of international students looking to study in Europe but, even so, it still preserves its local traditions and culture. Have a look at this student’s experience at Grenoble Ecole de Management:

School Review: Grenoble Ecole de Management

Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) is a business school which believes in combining technology and management to create a better world. The courses offered by the college are one of the best in the country and the campus itself is state of the art. While GEM offers a wide and abundant student life, the student associations are predominantly French. However, there is still a huge admission of international students in each course.
Academically speaking, the faculty are some of the most experienced and finest teachers. They are not only experts at teaching but have experience in working industries as well which gives us concrete live cases to study about. The modules are designed such that every course adds to the value of a student.

3. Germany

Study in Germany

There wouldn’t be a top 10 list without Germany being in it. It is home to some of the best Universities in Europe and it welcomes thousands of international students every year. Germany is the place to be especially if your major is related to Business and Management, which is the top programme studied there. Let’s hear what this student has to say about ESCP Business School:

Internationality

One of my favourite things about the program is how diverse the people are. While studying in different countries thanks to their international course, you get the chance to socialise with people that have lived across the globe and develop meaningful friendships with them. The facilities are great as well as the staff in general.

One thing that could be improved is the fact that half of our classes are online, making me feel like I do not spend enough time on campus.

This small country in the Iberian peninsula is often compared to the neighbour state Spain, and it should not be. Portugal is just as good as its neighbour, its unique, friendly, and affordable for students. Sofia loves Porto Business School.

5. The Netherlands

Study in the Netherlands

In recent years, the Netherlands gained more and more popularity. This is mainly explained by the level of education and the number of degrees offered in the English language. Many international students choose to study there because even without knowledge of Dutch, they can still get around pretty well. Marianthi loves the green campus and high-quality studies at Radboud University.

6. Poland

MBA in Poland

According to the data we gathered on EDUopinions, Poland is the sixth most liked country for studying. Tuition fees in public universities are generally low and the cost of living is below the EU average making it affordable for students to move there. For example, a private room can cost between 100 and 150 euros per month, which is way more affordable than dormitories in the UK. Enough information from me though, let’s hear it from someone who did live in Poland:

Great potential for self-development and students-life activities.

The University creates a lot of opportunities for students, especially in terms of integration, extra activities such participation in whole bunch of student’s organizations. However I feel disappointed when it comes to the level of provided knowledge and practice skills required to be successful in the professional career. University location is great, nearby the downtown. The great advantage is the campus area where are all the university facilities so you do not have to run through the city during rush hours.

7. Greece

Study in Greece

Its capital Athens is an outdoor museum. The country is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea and is kissed by the sun all year round. If you are searching for a place to call home, you may have found it here. If you are from the EU, you do not need a visa to study in Greece, but you also will not pay tuition fees at a Bachelor’s level. As Maria points out if you fail an exam at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens you can attempt it again without any penalties and additional fees.

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

From my personal experience National and Kapodistrian University is a great University. My department is Media and Communication which is located at the center of Athens in a new modern building. other Faculties of this University are sadly not as new or as clean but still the education level is excellent. Starting at this department i didn’t really know what to expect, but the courses ended up being very interesting and the professors really committed and close to the students (although a bit unorganized from time to time). This program is allowing you to choose courses according to your liking and explore you interests and talents. There is a big variety of course options and that gives you the opportunity to personalize your education. Finishing you have plenty of career options and you can be flexible to what would you like to do next, which is really good but at the same time you don’t necessarily feel like you know “what you know” and to which area you are an “expert” so you will need to find that in the process by yourself and by trying different things. The books are provided for free and there are no fees to pay, which make it completely free for Bachelor Studies. Furthermore, if you fail an exam you are free to repeat it without any penalties, either in September or in the winter/summer semester exam period (depending on which semester the course belongs).

8. Italy

The Bel Paese is home to some of the oldest Universities in the world, its full of history and culture, you should definitely consider it as your next home abroad. Tuition fees in Italy are regulated by the law. Tuition fees depend on the annual salary of the person applying for studies. The oldest University in Europe is the University of Bologna. Elma is happy she had the opportunity to study in a city that is both student-friendly and multicultural:

Competence, Prestige, dynamic Student Life

I think that the University of Bologna is one of the best Italian universities and one of the most important academic centers in Europe. Being the oldest university of the occidental world, more than 900 years of experience have certainly served to let it offer excellence in a lot of different fields. It is furthermore able to fully interweave tradition and modernity. In my opinion as a student, the professors are quite competent and have the ability to transmit their passion for the subject. It also offers a lot of facilities such as financial aid for the students that cannot afford to pay for rent and tax. The conditions of the student dormitories are quite good, the city is well connected to the faculties, warm and hospitable. Bologna is a multicultural city, full of students from the entire world, which makes the city dynamic and exciting. I am really happy to have had the ability to study at this university.

9. Spain

barcelona

With its neighbours Portugal and France, Spain is one of the countries that attract mostly international students. It’s also one of the top destinations for travel worldwide. Spain has an atmosphere that only people who have been there can describe. In this review, Katrin will highlight what is good about studying at ESADE:

Great class cohesion, superb study location, super professors

I loved the class cohesion with plenty of international students from all over the world. Great to have that mix during a practical business project to do with the local economy of the Costa Brava.
Studying in Barcelona is simply amazing, and even though the university is not directly in the center, it is in a really nice part of the city with great views over the old town and the sea. I always enjoyed my walk from the metro station to the school.
The professors were nice and motivated, and as classes were small, it allowed a very good learning atmosphere.

10. Romania

Study in Romania

Occasionally discarded for more popular countries, Romania is a hidden gem in Eastern Europe. The landscapes are amazing and the people friendly. The cost of living in Romania is low. In fact, according to Study in Romania, a shared room in a dorm can be as cheap as 50 euros per month. A private apartment varies from 200 to 350 euros per month, which is still not bad. Apparently, the University of Bucharest is one of the most beautiful in the country:
