My time at Daystar University was genuinely fulfilling and gave me a well-rounded experience, even though it wasn’t perfect.

I studied communication there—both diploma and degree—which gave me the chance to attend classes at both the Athi River and Nairobi campuses. That experience really broadened my perspective and exposed me to different learning environments.

Academically, most of my classes were engaging and practical, and many of the lecturers were not only knowledgeable but also approachable and supportive. Of course, there were a few inconsistencies here and there, but overall, I felt well-prepared. What stood out most to me was the university’s strong Christian foundation. The focus on integrity, leadership, and personal growth wasn’t just talk—it actually influenced how I think and carry myself today.

Campus life was one of my favorite parts. There was a real sense of community, and it was easy to get involved, make friends, and feel like you belonged.

Like any university, there were a few challenges along the way, but they didn’t take away from the overall experience. Looking back, Daystar didn’t just educate me—it played a big role in shaping who I am today.

I’d honestly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where they can grow academically, spiritually, and socially, while also building meaningful friendships and lasting memories.

I’ve been at Daystar since 2022, and honestly, it’s been a good experience. The school is really diverse, so you get to interact with people from all kinds of backgrounds, which I like. One thing that stands out is how much they value your spiritual life—it’s not just about classes but also about growing as a person. The lecturers are approachable and actually care about students, not only academically but on a personal level too. I’d recommend Daystar to anyone looking for a place that balances studies, community, and faith.

I had a positive and enriching experience at Daystar University. My likes about the institution is they offer problem based learning, something that institutions in Kenya don’t.
My dislike is the institution is a bit far from. The town.
Would I recommend it, most definitely. The learning is top notch, and after your studies, trust me, you get to view life in a whole different lense.

Daystar is a christian based University . i loved it becasued it teaches us christian values, how to pray and go right with the Lord. the teachers are wonderful and i never had any negative reasons in it .

We had visiting students from different cointries who came to exchange culture , learn it and know how Kenya works . they loved the food, how we live , our clothings and even our churches .

Having been born and raised in the countryside, adjusting to the fast-paced and dynamic life in the city proved to be quite challenging. It was my very first time living away from home and navigating an entirely new environment, which felt overwhelming at first. However, as time went by, I gradually acclimated to this new way of life.

One of the key factors that helped me settle in and make the most of my time at the university was actively participating in various clubs and extracurricular activities. Joining these groups not only provided a sense of community but also exposed me to diverse perspectives, ideas, and opportunities I had not encountered before. These experiences enabled me to step out of my comfort zone, learn new skills, and gain valuable exposure to the wider world. Reflecting back, my journey at Daystar University was not just about academic growth but also about personal development and expanding my worldview.

Great university with supportive lecturers and numerous resources. Ample and spacious compound with multicultural population. You get to meet students feom kenya, uganda, burundi, malawi and Tanzania. In summary great experience awaits you

Daystar University has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my academic journey. What I love most is the holistic approach to education. The Bachelor of Arts in Technical and Professional Communication program, under the School of Communication, has been eye-opening. It doesn’t just focus on traditional communication theories but also touches on practical, real-world skills like marketing and strategic communication, which is invaluable in today’s job market.

But it’s not just about academics. The campus life is vibrant, and I appreciate the diversity of the students here. It’s a unique experience to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds, yet we all share a common ground in our faith and values. Being a Christian university, Daystar instills a sense of morality and ethics that go beyond the classroom. I feel like I’m not only growing intellectually but also spiritually, and that balance is important to me.

Plus, the campus itself is beautiful, and the student activities make it feel like a second home. From club activities to social events, there’s always something to be part of. It’s a place where you can grow, network, and make memories that last a lifetime. I would definitely recommend Daystar to anyone looking for a university that shapes you academically and morally while also giving you a rich social experience.

Daystar creates an environment that makes students feel comfortable. The lecturers are very kind and understanding, and the lectures are delivered in the best way possible. I like Daystar because of the flexibility of the timetable, classes are chosen based on your schedule (this is mostly regarding working classes and getting a degree). The only downside to the school is that they make students attend church twice a week, regardless of their religion. I would recommend it due to the flexibility and inclusivity Daystar creates for the students.
