I always knew NWU was a great school to study engineering and I am glad I had it as first choice.

I have also met nice friends and the enivronment is also great for learning.

I love it here and I highly recommend this School for anyone looking to study enigineering.

The faculty of education in NWU is one that caters for their students. It is a place for one to be themselves and within it, whilst also meeting great people. It exposes you to opportunities that may benefit your future if you’re a hardworking person, and one can even get great connections from it. Education doesn’t always have to be stressful, thus why if you’re part of this faculty you’ll get a chance to go to camps as a class and learn in a fun way. If you are think of venturing in Education as a career, then NWU is the place to be for you.

The BCom Economics and International Trade program at North-West University was no joke! It really put me through the most, but in the best way possible.

Right from the get-go, the lecturers made sure we had a solid grasp of economic theory – micro, macro, you name it. But they didn’t just throw dense textbooks at us. They actually took the time to break it all down and show how those concepts play out in the real world of global trade.

That’s one thing I really appreciated about the program – the practical applications. Sure, we crunched numbers and ran econometric models till we were cross-eyed. But we also got to dig into fascinating case studies, analyzing real companies’ trade strategies and policies. It was like a thrilling detective story, but with economics as the culprit!

Speaking of practical, the international trade courses were where it was really at. We learned the nitty-gritty of trade finance, supply chains, customs regulations – everything you need to know to navigate the crazy world of cross-border business. And let me tell you, negotiating mock trade agreements with your mates was an absolute blast!

What really set this program apart, though, was the interdisciplinary approach. Economics alone is great, but when you blend it with finance, marketing, and international business management? That’s when the magic happens. It gave us this holistic view of how economic forces, trade policies, and business strategies all intertwine on the global stage.

Look, I won’t lie – that BCom grind was intense. But when I graduated in 2018, I knew I was armed with skills that would set me apart in the cutthroat world of global economics and business. The program’s perfect blend of theory, quantitative analysis, real-world applications, and that all-important international perspective? An absolute game-changer.

The North-West University is a very aesthetically pleasing varsity from the design of its buildings to the nature surrounding it. It is such a breath of fresh air because of the amount of trees there is but they are not overwhelming, they fit right in because of the way they have been structured and they complement the scenery of the school. Walking around the university you will always find something interesting in the school. Oh! we even have a botanical garden inside the school!!

Looking back on my time at North-West University, I can vividly recall the excitement and trepidation I felt as a fresh-faced first-year student embarking on my BCom Economics and International Trade degree. Little did I know then just how transformative and enriching those four years would be.

From the very first lectures, I was captivated by the intricacies of economic theory and the complex web of global trade dynamics. Our esteemed professors brought these concepts to life with real-world examples and engaging discussions, challenging us to think critically and question conventional wisdom. It was a far cry from the dry, number-crunching reputation that often precedes economics.

One of the highlights of the program was myself immersing in a culture and economic landscape which was an invaluable experience that broadened my perspectives and deepened my understanding of international trade frameworks.

But the lessons extended far beyond the classroom. The Economics and International Trade program at North-West University emphasized the importance of practical experience, and I was fortunate to secure an internship. The internship not only allowed me to apply my theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios but also provided invaluable networking opportunities and a glimpse into potential career paths.

As graduation day approached, I felt a bittersweet mixture of accomplishment and nostalgia. Looking back, I can say with certainty that my time at North-West University’s Economics and International Trade program was transformative. As a proud 2019 graduate of the Bachelor’s of Science in Geography program at North-West University, I can confidently say that my time in the department was incredibly enriching and prepared me well for a career in this diverse field. The program offered a comprehensive curriculum that delved into both the physical and human aspects of geography, giving me a well-rounded understanding of the spatial relationships that shape our world.

One of the standout features of this program was the strong emphasis on fieldwork and practical application. From day hikes in the nearby nature reserves to multi-day field trips across the region, we had numerous opportunities to get out of the classroom and experience geography firsthand. These excursions not only reinforced the theoretical concepts we learned but also allowed us to develop essential skills in data collection, mapping, and analysis.

The faculty members in the Geography department were true experts in their respective areas, and their passion for the subject was infectious. They encouraged us to think critically, ask questions, and challenge conventional wisdom. The North West University is a school where winners are made. If one could check the progress of this school’s sports in competitions one would see that we always come up on top. When it comes to the sport of rugby this university always comes on top in most games, the Eagles (name of the team) always soars high with its performance. But not only is this school great in sports only, but also in educational rankings.

My awareness of environmental challenges and legal systems has improved as a result of my transformative experience studying the Postgraduate Certificate Short Course in Environmental Law at North-West University. I wish to submit a subjectively good assessment that effectively highlights the program’s strengths as a 2016 graduate.

The program’s practical approach to learning was one of its greatest advantages. The curriculum’s goal was to give students a thorough understanding of environmental law with an emphasis on practical applications. I was able to obtain important knowledge on the practical application and enforcement of environmental laws through case studies, guest lectures, and field visits.

The professors were authorities in their disciplines who could impart a plethora of information and experience. They were devoted to giving students the abilities and information required to have a good influence in this subject and were enthusiastic about environmental law. Their advice and mentoring were really helpful in helping me understand difficult legal issues and hone my critical thinking abilities.

Additionally, the program provided beneficial networking possibilities. I got the opportunity to speak with experts in the field of environmental law, learning a great deal about it and making relationships that have helped me much in my career.

All things considered, my time spent completing NWU’s Postgraduate Certificate Short Course in Environmental Law was enlightening and will always have a positive effect on my work. To anyone interested in environmental law who wants to change the world, I would heartily suggest this curriculum.

I had an immensely fulfilling and life-changing experience while doing my Honours Bachelor of Mathematics Education with a Secondary Education & Teaching concentration at North-West University. This experience equipped me to be a capable and self-assured teacher. I want to share a subjectively good assessment that effectively highlights the program’s strengths as a 2021 graduate.

The faculty was one of the program’s most outstanding features. In addition to being authorities in their domains, the professors had a strong commitment to instructing and developing the next wave of educators. Their passion and commitment were infectious, motivating me to pursue greatness in my coursework and future teaching profession.

The curriculum covered a wide range of issues in classroom management, pedagogy, and mathematics instruction. It was thorough and well-designed. I felt well-prepared for the challenges of teaching in a secondary school setting since the courses were designed to strike a mix between theory and practical application.

Moreover, the curriculum provided beneficial chances for real-world experience through teaching practica and internships. My teaching style and classroom management strategies improved as a result of these practical experiences, which gave me the chance to put the knowledge and abilities I had acquired in the classroom to use in actual teaching scenarios.
