John Molson School of Business is a great place to study any Bachelor of commerce. Endless opportunities for the students. A marketing major in particular is very interesting and has great teachers. Campus is very nice and clean and new in the city center of Montreal.

As an international student, my journey at Concordia University has been a blend of both sweet and sour experiences. Like many other educational institutions, Concordia presents a mixed group of faculty quality. Unfortunately, in my case, the balance tilted a bit more towards encountering professors who struggled to teach their materials effectively. This was very disheartening given the substantial financial investment required from international students, whose fees are obviously higher than those of local students. The urgency to seek additional tutoring to excel at my courses was a notable frustration.

On the other hand, Concordia does shine in aspects of student life and campus facilities. Located in the vibrant heart of downtown, the university offers a campus that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also inclusive, with modern amenities such as accessible facilities for disabled individuals and gender-neutral bathrooms. The layout of study areas caters to a diverse range of needs and preferences.

The student community at Concordia is the best attribute, with a vast range of cultures and backgrounds creating an exhilarating environment. Clubs, associations and organizations are abundant, catering to a wide spectrum of interests and passions. These platforms offer incredible opportunities for students to showcase their talents, develop new skills, and uncover hidden strengths.

While the academic experience at Concordia can be a hit or miss depending on your major, the university does excel in providing an enriching and inclusive student life experience. Its commitment to a diverse and modern campus environment is commendable. Arriving at my final year while pursuing my Undergraduate degree in Marketing here at Concordia University, I think I can confidently say that the JMSB Faculty offers numerous opportunities for career development ranging from the diverse and ever growing student associations to the assistance provided by the wonderful Career Management Services to help students secure internship. Concordia also offers a CO-OP Program, allowing students to alternate between their studies and work term to gain more hands-on work experience.

In terms of education, or at least from my experience in the Marketing program, Concordia University are equipped with professors who are clearly experienced within the marketing fields. They not only brings theory to the table, but also shares about their personal experiences and help direct students toward opportunities to help realize their potential.

As for the community, Concordia University are rich with student associations which may relate to your interests, allowing you to take part in their workshops and events. But if you can’t find any student associations that are geared towards what you may be looking for then you also have the option of starting on yourself!

One of the major thing I notice about Concordia University compared to the other universities located here in Montreal like McGill or UQAM is that competition tends to be RELATIVELY less intense. If you thrive in those environment then Concordia University may not be the most suitable place for you. However, if you like the learning environment where you can work to improve yourself at your own pace, then Concordia University will be able to fulfill your needs. That is not to say there isn’t any competition at all, there just isn’t as much social pressure.

I had the privilege of being a part of Ryerson University’s Entrepreneurship and Marketing program, and it was an outstanding experience. The program’s curriculum was well-designed, providing a perfect balance of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical application. The faculty members were highly knowledgeable and supportive, creating an engaging learning environment. The program’s emphasis on industry connections and experiential learning opened doors to valuable internships and co-op opportunities. The resources and facilities dedicated to the program were top-notch, allowing me to explore my passion and excel in my studies. I am grateful for the real-world skills and industry connections I gained through the program. Ryerson University’s Entrepreneurship and Marketing truly prepared me for a successful career in the business world. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a transformative educational experience.

John Molson at Concordia is not just a school where you’re in and out. Aside from the high standard of education and frequent practical applications of what you learn in class, there are many clubs and student led events for you to truly create a student life in school. Some classes are tough to get through ( comm 308 for instance) but that’s to be expected if you wish to receive a degree from a top business school. You learn things outside of class and make life long friends here!

Concordia University is a fantastic academic institution. One thing you’ll likely appreciate about the university is its diverse student body, which includes people from all over the world. As for potential drawbacks, some students have found that the campus can feel a bit disconnected, as it’s spread out over several different locations in Montreal. Additionally, some students have found that the university’s bureaucracy can be frustrating at times.

Overall, though, I would highly recommend Concordia University. It’s a great institution with a lot to offer, and I think you’d find it to be a wonderful place to learn and grow

I graduated from John Molson School of Business at Concordia University as a marketing major. During my first 2 years, I took online electives and had a great experience using their online learning platform. You can take a plethora of courses online, whether they’re related to your core requirements or general electives. They were well-organized and you can interact with peers and professors via forums.

Concordia University is a school with a campus that feels modern however many of the classes themselves feel like they haven’t been updated in the past 10 years. Most professors are great and very knowledgeable but they seem to be held back by outlines that were made years ago. Overall great out of class experience, great teachers, awful courses.

The institution is awesome. The professors here at Concordia University are so welcoming and nice! For the two years I have spent here at Concordia University and I have to say the environment and everyone in it is refreshing.They are super involved and so supportive. As someone that gets bored of doing the same thing over and over again I’m really thankful for the many clubs and activities organized on campus, at least I get to have fun after studying. I am really enjoying my stay here!

I am an international student at Concordia and my biggest positive about the uni is the how inclusive it is and how much the staff wants to help you succeed in your studies. All the professor I had so far are pretty good and want the best for you. One of the negative things I have to say are the bathrooms. They are pretty bad.
To end this, I’d recommend the university.
