The program is solid. The professors are great, however, some have strong accents which can make the understanding of the more complex materials more difficult than they are. Other than that, it is a great school.
View moreMy experience as a student at Concordia University Montreal has been very tough. I entered my program of study in the Fall 2020 semester. I had heard from other students that the program was quite demanding already. The professors and advisors did nothing to accommodate us, they gave us impossible online exams of 120 questions in 60 mins where you barely have time to read a single question. Moreover, I found myself memorizing all my material rather than learning it (which is now long forgotten) as a result of these circumstances. Please consider the future of your career before applying to Concordia.
View moreThe classes of my major are pretty easy with really interesting topics. The professors are mostly good, especially those with work experience, who teach their class based on experience and real-life situations.
View moreThe university has great labs and classes, yet I wouldn’t say that my student life is pleasant. Most of my professors can be barely called good english speakers, and it is really hard to stay motivated to keep studying in that class. It also lacks student activities and clubs to join. Good enough for future career prospects at the cost of happy and mesmerizing student life.
View moreThe Political Science program builds excellent connections within the workplace, whether it be for the academic sphere or the international diplomatic sphere of work. Very engaging, diverse and competitive setting. Overall excellent professors and student associations. My only quip lies in the inaccessibility to internships early in the program for skill-building.
View moreWhen I was younger I was in love with Concordia university even though at that time I wasn’t living in Canada. When I came here because of Covid everything was closed and the university was online. Now that it is on Campus I thought it would be better but it wasn’t the case. Most of the professors are nice but some of them don’t know how to explain or I guess their method is not right. The student life is good there are parties, programs events. Although my experience in Concordia is not that good so far I think that everybody has different experiences. That is why before applying you should visit the Campus and book a tour to familiarize yourself with this new environment if you feel comfortable in it then that is great if not try to find a place where you will feel at ease.
View moreThere are several things I enjoy about the Political Science program at Concordia University. My favourite thing, in particular, is the readings, we are introduced to authors from all over the world, and learn about the history of the entire world; not just North America and Europe. One thing I do not like about the program is that some professors, allow their biases and personal views to influence the topics covered. The school needs to do better in listening to the concerns of the students pertaining to their professors and making a change. Concordia is one of the most diverse universities in Canada, there are people from all over the world. The teachers are kind and understanding and there are many resources to ensure everyone has a successful academic and future career.
View moreThe overall atmosphere makes it feel like you’re making the most of your time at Concordia. This particularly relates to the feeling that Concordia is focused on delivering programs, classes and seminars that are entirely focused on improving your skill set in a way best suited to seamlessly integrate the workforce into thriving industries after graduation. The program I specifically refer to is the Aerospace engineering program where we take a variety of classes that relate to real-world applications. Some interesting programs are the space club, and the future bound program where we are offered seminars on career development and personal finance and other relevant topics to young students. Hence why I call it a future-oriented program.
View moreAt Concordia University, you would expect the learning environment would be harsh and have a low quality student life. However, this is not the case as you would get a better and amazing Concordia Student Life Experience while doing your higher education study, even while the professors we get might not be the best or we would need to self-learn everything through YouTube. You would still find and get friends who are just like-minded and could help you with everything.
View moreI really enjoyed my experience, would recommend Concordia to people. The only thing I thought it was lacking was a sense of community and library space. Other than that I thought classes were good and interesting.
