I’m graduating this year from Rubika, as an animation student. It’s a very special school in a small town where everybody knows everybody. The teachers were great, all working in the industry and eager to help us for real. There is a lot of workload, you can’t get bored. For me, who wasn’t able to function properly in the traditionnal school system, it has helped me to be a better learner, to be independent, and to work with others (you’re always doing group projects aside from your personnal ones). It has been a journey in which I have grown a lot, from what I’ve heard from my friends of other schools it’s the best animation school in France.
View moreI’m a student there and i absolutely love it. The city of Valenciennes can be a negative point ,but for the school as itself I have a great experience and I’m not the only one.
The student really have a power there on how and what they want to learn and I believe that why it works so well. There are even people in place for potential problems that can occur outside of school if we need help with physical and mental Health, Money or paperwork. Because a lots of student live alone for the first time when they enter this school. I learn a lot and I have a great time. If you are someone that like challenges and structure while learning tou will definitely love it.
I am in my second year of 3D animation at Rubika, and the school never ceases to impress me. The classes are taught by working professionals who are very skilled at their jobs. They give excellent advice and we progress very quickly, all in a pleasant working environment with a great mood. I did another science program before, and it was nothing like this. Working in these conditions allows you to flourish; you are constantly supported and guided by the teaching team. I highly recommend Rubika!
View moreStudent life there is very pleasant, the teaching staff often shows concern for our well-being.
Even though at times we find ourselves overwhelmed with work, they do their best to try to distribute the work fairly over the weeks.
The speakers are really top-notch, they take the time to explain things to us, give us personal feedback and care a lot about our success.
The atmosphere in class and overall in the school is really great, with regular events organized by the student union and we also have many clubs!
Obviously, you have to persevere, but with good organization, everything goes smoothly! Mutual support among classmates is also super important!
Rubika in Valenciennes is a great place to study game programming. The teachers are very competent and passionate, and many of them come directly from the video game industry, which makes the classes very interesting and practical. You get to learn from people who actually worked on real projects, so the advice and feedback are very valuable.
The school also provides good equipment and a solid working environment for development. Overall, it’s a motivating place to learn, especially if you’re serious about working in the game industry. You meet people who share the same passion, and the courses cover a lot of relevant topics for becoming a professional game developper.
View moreRubika is a very good school for learning. The instructors are dynamic and very kind. Since they aren’t “teachers” in the traditional sense, the courses are varied and complementary, as each instructor brings their own experience. I recommend this school.
View moreRubika is a very big school with a lot of students, and it encourages the communication between different cursus, which enlarges our vision of the artistic industry.
I see the progress I’ve done through the years, thanks to the teachers and student’s feedbacks. The mood of my promotion is really cool, almost everyone is nice and helps each other, which is really helpful during difficult times.
The 2D animation cursus is still developing, as the first graduates got out last year, so there are still things that can be done better.
Nonetheless the school creates a great network with professionals throughout the world, and it’s quite reassuring.
It also gives us the access to great (and expensive) tools used in the industry, which will help a lot to fit in the professional world.
I’m a student in 3d year in 2D animation at Rubika Valenciennes. It is an association, so they use the money you give for students and they are completely transparent about how they use our money. It’s not perfect, like everywhere of course but most of the speakers come from studios and have experience, which is very interesting. We have workshops and conferences (they regularly invite people to explain different branches of the profession to us).As for the facilities, they are quite modern, the equipment and software are provided: a big plus. Furthermore, the school is open every day until 11 p.m.
View moreFor a new course (2D animation), it’s quite good! I’ve noticed rapid progress in my skills thanks to the teachers and the class. I sometimes felt overwhelmed with work, but the teaching staff was very attentive to our difficulties.
I’ve never felt so welcome in a school than here, by student, administration or teacher.
I’m currently studying Game Art. The teaching methods are very student-focused. The courses are supplemented by semester-long projects centered around video games to give us as much real-world experience as possible. We receive genuinely constructive feedback from our instructors on our projects.
