I’m a student there and i absolutely love it. The city of Valenciennes can be a negative point ,but for the school as itself I have a great experience and I’m not the only one.
The student really have a power there on how and what they want to learn and I believe that why it works so well. There are even people in place for potential problems that can occur outside of school if we need help with physical and mental Health, Money or paperwork. Because a lots of student live alone for the first time when they enter this school. I learn a lot and I have a great time. If you are someone that like challenges and structure while learning tou will definitely love it.
I’m graduating this year from Rubika, as an animation student. It’s a very special school in a small town where everybody knows everybody. The teachers were great, all working in the industry and eager to help us for real. There is a lot of workload, you can’t get bored. For me, who wasn’t able to function properly in the traditionnal school system, it has helped me to be a better learner, to be independent, and to work with others (you’re always doing group projects aside from your personnal ones). It has been a journey in which I have grown a lot, from what I’ve heard from my friends of other schools it’s the best animation school in France.
View moreFor a new course (2D animation), it’s quite good! I’ve noticed rapid progress in my skills thanks to the teachers and the class. I sometimes felt overwhelmed with work, but the teaching staff was very attentive to our difficulties.
I’ve never felt so welcome in a school than here, by student, administration or teacher.
I’m a student in 3d year in 2D animation at Rubika Valenciennes. It is an association, so they use the money you give for students and they are completely transparent about how they use our money. It’s not perfect, like everywhere of course but most of the speakers come from studios and have experience, which is very interesting. We have workshops and conferences (they regularly invite people to explain different branches of the profession to us).As for the facilities, they are quite modern, the equipment and software are provided: a big plus. Furthermore, the school is open every day until 11 p.m.
View moreRubika is a very big school with a lot of students, and it encourages the communication between different cursus, which enlarges our vision of the artistic industry.
I see the progress I’ve done through the years, thanks to the teachers and student’s feedbacks. The mood of my promotion is really cool, almost everyone is nice and helps each other, which is really helpful during difficult times.
The 2D animation cursus is still developing, as the first graduates got out last year, so there are still things that can be done better.
Nonetheless the school creates a great network with professionals throughout the world, and it’s quite reassuring.
It also gives us the access to great (and expensive) tools used in the industry, which will help a lot to fit in the professional world.
