A business cannot survive if its products are not marketed in the proper way. Luckily for all the businesses out there, the number of candidates wanting to pursue a marketing career is growing tremendously.
The aim of this degree is to help students anticipate, manage, and satisfy customers’ needs and wants. By doing so, they will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of any business product to the targeted market.
Due to the fact that marketing is a complex industry, which tackles many areas ranging from market research to advertising and promotion, this degree focuses on all parts of the process before concentrating on a particular area of study.
Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
I have recently started at the University studying a Digital Marketing undergraduate degree and I have thoroughly enjoyed my first week. The campus is big with many facilities catering to all your needs. It consists of a sports village which includes a swimming pool and more, a huge library, a number of quiet study areas as well as an array of food & dining options including a Starbucks!
The university also provides excellent support for your studies with kind, supportive lecturers, CASE advisors as well as personal tutors and peer mentors who are always there to offer their support. The university truly allows students to feel supported and valued arranging for weekly events, job placements, job fairs and so much more. Other than this, there are a lot more facilities which cater to your needs as a student ensuring your time at the university brings a positive experience.
The Univeristy is huge and prioritises it’s students with facilties and high quality education. This is all I could ask for but that is not all. The supermarket and the gym is within the campus and there is a huge walking track where students can explore. The staff are helpful and resourceful, to them students are more important and therefore; the services they provide are high quality and quick. The course outline is well planned put for our better understanding and to follow along instructions and the timetable, there are apps to download which can easily guide its students. Overall my experience has been great and I could not ask for more. I am happy to be a student in this University.
View moreI live in the accomodations in College Lane Campus and I absolutely love this University for prioritising its students and providing high quality services and education. I applied for Masters in Illustration (Design) and although it overwhelming I am satisfied with the course outline. The campus is huge and it allows me to walk long distances which I do love. There are facilities available within the campus therefore; you are not required to leave campus since everything is available within our vicinity. There isn’t anything particularly bad about the campus because I have been having a great experience overall. I am thankful to be a part if just an incredible institution.

View moreUniversity of Hertfordshire is somewhere where you can express yourself freely and be comfortable in your own skin without feeling judged. Both students and teachers are approachable whenever in need of help in both good and bad times.
View moreAs an international student it has been a fascinating experience since it’s the first time i moved away from my home town to get done with a masters degree in the field of my interest and to my surprise the university offers every facility ranging from accomodation to on campus learning. It’s been only a few months here but the rigorous support by my module leader and other teaching staff have really helped me get through the change I experienced in the curriculum that they teach here. As my programme is placement based I have high hopes of landing a job here in future as the placement kickoff sessions have provided the much needed platform for my growth here. Hence otherwise I hope that the learning throughout my degree can help me practice a career here in marketing in association with different companies.
