If you’re gonna be doing their distance learning/online degrees, the quality is hit or miss.
Some modules are wonderful and well-organised, while others are merely a bunch of slides and word documents. You’ll need to apply yourself and develop the discipline to study on your own. At least they give you access to an e-library where you can make up for some poor module content by studying the required readings. The online support staff are very helpful though and the professors are good (same ones who teach on campus).

From my experience, the University of Hertfordshire has provided a supportive environment where I always felt there was someone to turn to when I needed help. The support staff have been approachable, understanding, and genuinely interested in helping students succeed, both academically and personally.

I particularly appreciated how easy it was to access support services, whether I needed academic guidance, wellbeing support, or careers advice.

Overall, I feel the University of Hertfordshire cares about its students and creates an environment where you feel supported, encouraged, and able to reach your full potential.

Hertfordshire may seem as a low standard university compared to london universities. Honestly choosing Herts uni as your uni of study is something you wouldn’t regret as I have studied at this uni and found my experience soo inspiring and valuable. There is no dislikes as I can only think of positives as you can take volunteering roles and even they support you with job enquiries. Campus life is amazing as you can attend different events related to your school of study and connect with students from your field area on LinkedIn and your professors support you and want you to do well.

I loved my time at UH. Not only did I learn so much and have a lot of guidance during the transition from high school to more specialised research and habits, I made a lot of fantastic friends and memories that will be with me for life. They say that school days are the best of your life; you can include uni in that. I often remember the companionship and learning curves I experienced, and would love to witness those again as a fly on the wall.
