Extent of the curriculum was great. Level of knowledge required for each class was very high. Professors were really experienced and knowledgeable. Great connections with other unviersities. Overall, the programme was excellent
View moreIt is one of the best university in Mexico! I love that it offers so many extracurricular activities like sports, arts, leadership, and many more. The university itself is very modern and the experience of walking around is great. I am always meeting new people and the community of teachers and students are always willing to help you. The new Tec21 model can be a little hard to adapt to and could use a few improvements since it is still very new, but overall it gives you a chance to explore many areas so you can choose a career you really like. It is challenging because some courses have a 5 week length and there are a lot of topics so you feel like you only learn a little bit of everything and nothing fully. The good thing is that it gives you a close look at real world challenges since it is more practical than theoretical.
View moreI liked that the programme was focused on industry requirements, the campus and overall infrastructure was very good. They balanced students social and sport activities with academic performance. Great sports program.
View moreI think that the way of learning that this university has is very good, since from the first semester we do not focus on projects and obstacles that a professional person can have in their work. Which helps a lot since it makes us use our learned knowledge to be able to solve it and makes us generate new skills and competencies. This learning helps us to get an idea of the problems that we can face in working life, which helps us not to enter it without knowing anything; They prepare us from the first day for that moment.
View moreThe university makes sure in most cases to have the most highly trained professors and to teach the new trends in the industry.
The offer of careers by campus is very limited if it is a campus that is not located in the main cities of the country, which means that many students have to transfer to another campus. This causes that the student body is reduced in the first years, which although it can be an advantage in the communication between student and teacher, you are not offered a student coexistence as you would expect. The university tries to carry out activities of coexistence but the fact that that there are few students with very different schedules makes it very difficult.
This does not usually happen on campuses with the largest student body such as Monterrey, CDMX and Guadalajara.
The new educational system (Tec 21) has many positive things such as projects, however for the engineering area this system causes a lot of workload due to the fact that a very short time is established for complex topics and a high number of exams.
View moreOverall, Tecnológico de Monterrey’s new study model is very effective for deeper learning and true mastery of concepts. The teachers are very well prepared to do their job and teach very well. In general, the Tec community is very open and inclusive, which makes for a much better experience. I am in the city of Monterrey, which is a city full of life and things to do. There is never time to get bored as there are many activities to do.
On the other hand, the facilities of the ITESM Campus Monterrey are excellent. The library is the perfect place to study and have a quiet time, and there are several green spaces around it that can be used for relaxation and recreation. 100% recommend this institution!
The new teaching method Tec21 makes the students learn professionally and get knowledge from actually creating instead of theoretical understanding. The professors are highly qualified and make the student experience just right, while offering extra studying sessions.
