Overall, I like my uni. The atmosphere is quite good, and there are enough courses to choose, including some interesting electives.I am a student in the Faculty of Engineering, and most of my teachers are easy to talk to. They also take the course seriously.And you can normally get a grade that matches your work.
The main downside for me is the location. Sometimes I have to travel between two cities, and the campuses feel a bit spread out.(Maybe this depends on your subject) .But for me transportation is not always convenient.

The University of Duisburg-Essen offers a great balance between high quality research and practical application. The professors are approachable, and the diverse campus culture makes for a very welcoming atmosphere. I particularly appreciate the modern facilities and the wide range of resources available to students, which have significantly helped my academic growth. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid education in a supportive environment.
