Bad location. Studied at Jane and Finch location more than 10 years ago. Surroundings has safety concerns during nighttime hours.
My major is Economics. Don’t choose this one as it is too general for you to looking for a job. Choose some major more specific or get a certificate or license related to your future job before you graduate.
Overall, I would recommend this university to prospective students. Exams in my program at the Faculty of Health were reasonable and based on course material, and grading was fair when compared to other universities. The aesthetics of the university itself aren’t the best however, almost appearing factory like. Wifi also wasn’t the best with disconnections happening frequently depending on where you were on campus.

View moreI completed the Digital Marketing Certification program at York University and found the curriculum well-designed, with up-to-date learning materials and strong hands-on components. The instructors were knowledgeable, supportive, and respectful, which made the learning experience engaging and practical.
The only area for improvement is career support, as there was limited assistance with securing internships or entry-level roles.
Overall, I would still highly recommend the program for building relevant skills and practical experience.
View moreMy time at York University was a mixed but ultimately valuable experience. While the environment can feel large and impersonal at times and requires a lot of self-motivation, it also offered strong academic foundations and opportunities to grow independently. Navigating challenges pushed me to develop resilience, time-management skills, and confidence in advocating for myself. For students who are proactive and self-directed, York can provide meaningful learning experiences and personal growth.
