I studied political science at York University. I did it for your program for a bachelors with honors, and I really enjoyed the program. I met a lot of interesting people as well as a lot of interesting guest speakers. The political science professors are really amazing and they really do care about their students. The one thing that I would say is wrong with York is the location. You usually get a lot of homeless people and people who are not supposed to be campus. Other than that, it’s an amazing school and I had a really really good time studying here and I would definitely choose it again if I had to start my studies all over for post secondary.
View moreIt’s a great university full of diversity. I liked that there were a lot of courses to choose from. Many student clubs to choose from and lots of fun activities to do on campus. I didn’t like miscommunication between academic advising sometimes
View moreI liked some professors but a lot of the staff were unhelpful or mean, which I did not like. The staff like academic advisors were little help and I would have to write 10 emails to receive an answer to a simple question.
View moreI’m currently a political science student at York University and I truly have enjoyed my time there. There are amazing resources to take advantage of, such as the study Hub they offer, free tutoring and they have a writing centre where you can seek help in any assignment you may have.
One downfall is the time professors may take to answer students’ questions through emails, but the great thing is there are teacher assistants that are just absolutely amazing.
There are amazing spaces on campus to sit and relax, maybe grab a bite or coffee before studying/class.
The vibes are pretty amazing on campus and people are very friendly, plus there’s the subway station on campus.
I think York is a great place to create positive memories, academically and life experiences that you may treasure for the rest of your life.
You won’t regret it!
