My overall experience at BYU-Idaho was very positive. I recommend this university to everyone. The professors and instructors in my programme all want their students to succeed and will do everything in their power to help you pass the class, if that was the student’s desire. I love that they try their best to relate whatever they’re teaching to real life work experience rather than just following a curriculum. Most, if not all professors are approachable, genuinely interested in student’s success, and bring industry experience into the classroom.
BYU-I is great at networking and big companies often visit the campus to recruit our students for internships and careers. You just have to attend the career fairs and put yourself out there.
The only downfall with BYU-I is that it’s on the smaller side and doesn’t have a variety of majors compare to other universities. It’s also located in a small town where you will experience all 4 different seasons. If the big city is your way of life, BYU-I might not be for you. Campus life includes but are not limited to: dating, going to campus events, gym life, star gazing, camping, hiking, fishing, and more outdoorsy and physical activities.
Keep in mind that BYU-I is a religious, private university. We have rules we follow in order to continue our endorsement at the university.
BYU-Idaho offers scholarships up to full tuition for top performing students. Tuition is lower for the members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Brigham Young University – Idaho is definitely one of the best universities with some of the greatest professors that are committed to helping build future leaders. Classes were always inspiring and created healthy competition yet unity at the same time. I was a Software Engineer major and there was a lot of extracurricular activities and clubs that helped support students to be successful and get extra tutoring.
