They have track record of passing students in exchange for money, the lecturers are dishonest and follow systematic racism. The management especially Automotive Engineering and Mobility Management convey false info about the studies. If you want to ruin your precious student life, this is the right place.

Overall, I like my uni. The atmosphere is quite good, and there are enough courses to choose, including some interesting electives.I am a student in the Faculty of Engineering, and most of my teachers are easy to talk to. They also take the course seriously.And you can normally get a grade that matches your work.
The main downside for me is the location. Sometimes I have to travel between two cities, and the campuses feel a bit spread out.(Maybe this depends on your subject) .But for me transportation is not always convenient.

The University of Duisburg-Essen offers a great balance between high quality research and practical application. The professors are approachable, and the diverse campus culture makes for a very welcoming atmosphere.
