Studying at the University of Sarajevo offers a strong theoretical foundation, but the overall experience is a mix of great opportunities and certain limitations. While the curriculum is rigorous, there is a noticeable lack of practical, professional development, especially for engineering majors outside of Computer Science and IT.
However, the networking and student life are outstanding. Being part of international organizations like EESTEC allows you to compensate for the lack of practical work by attending workshops across Europe. It’s a good choice if you are proactive, but the university definitely needs more focus on modern industry practices for all engineering fields.
