For the most part, high-quality course content. Some of the subjects felt haphazard, and they were not well linked to the rest of the course. The course was made more stressful than it needed to be because of poor communication from teachers to students and poor organization. Overall, though, it provided us with excellent training and prep for teaching.
View moreI completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and creative writing and, in my opinion, the lecturers did an excellent job of teaching the material; there were just a few bad instructors. The assessments were difficult, but if you are persistent and diligent, you will succeed. The lack of communication within the university was a sticking point for me; as a top-ranked school, I expected the professors and tutors to be well-versed in their fields and to work in a collegiate setting.
View moreOverall a good university. However the engineering degree for bachelors comes under science and although it’s only three year, the degree is not credited until you do masters. If you do not wanna do masters you’ll have to do honours and get credited to a proper engineering degree.
Anyways, commerce is very popular.
And the uni has a stronger masters degree than a bachelors. The ppl over here are friendly but not as friendly as in Canadian unis.
The studies are extremely hard and very engaging (Especially for science and engineering) so if your not very organised and if you do not study throughout the semester, you will have a lot of trouble.
University of Melbourne is very centrally located and has a beautiful main campus (Parkville). It also happens to be one of the oldest universities in Australia. There’s a lot of positives of studying in a vibrant city like Melbourne. Most importantly- the multicultural environment. The university has students studying from different parts of the world and ensures everyone feels safe and accepted. They have ongoing activities and a number of clubs and societies which ensures the well-being of students and makes them feel engaged and connected. The teaching staff is also very committed and helpful
View moreThe experience I have gained at unimelb has benefited my personal development a lot.
I enjoyed learning at unimelb. I had access to resources, facilities and the best lecturers.
They encourage you to do your best and support you in every way. I highly recommend this university.
I am so grateful to study at UniMelb as an undergrad student. The student social life is excellent, with an amazing student union, clubs, welfare support, music, BBQs and so much more. The academic life is also to a very high standard with many different subject choices – there is something for everyone to enjoy. The teaching staff in my experience are excellent and very professional, but also very encouraging of self-learning and growth.
View moreGraduates from UniMelb are referred to as Pure Bloods and I’m proud and honoured to be part of such a big and prestigious Organization. I have learnt a lot about the culture and student life. The faculty is highly educated and the libraries feel like home.
