I’ve had a wonderful time at UASUA so far! The campus is stunning and located in a place where student life is incredibly enjoyable. You are always surrounded by brilliant minds and top professionals from a wide range of fields because the academics are among the most challenging in the world, the student body is exceptionally talented, and the faculty is amazing.

FHOOE was one of the greatest life experiences for me, both personally and professionally. I discovered the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria by chance while searching for marketing degrees, and what immediately caught my attention was that it offered a Master’s program in Global Sales and Marketing entirely in English.

What truly stood out was the combination of practical skills and real-life experience brought by professors who had previously worked in various companies across Austria and internationally. In addition, the strong connection with industry through projects and collaborations with companies involved in Innocamp made the learning experience even more valuable.

The small class size and the short, interactive teaching sessions kept you constantly engaged. Another highlight was the opportunity to study one semester abroad at one of the university’s partner institutions, an incredible experience, worth for any student.

I studied in Steyr, a picturesque, student-friendly town that’s easy to get around and helps you keep living costs low. The university also has campuses in Linz, Wels, and Hagenberg, but Steyr truly felt like home.

Overall, it was an experience of a lifetime. I still share the word about FHOOE with students who are looking to pursue their studies abroad.

There are several points that contribute to my great time at this study programme.

First, the class consists of students from various backgrounds which makes classes very engaging and interesting. You learn so much from each other and most of us became very good friends outside of the university.

Second, the professors bring years (and many of them decades) of real-life experience to the courses they teach. The shared content is a perfect mix of theory and their actual experience of how this content is applied in the industry.

Lastly, I want to point out that I could apply most of the content I learned to my work life. I did not start my job with the feeling of being a freshly graduated student who now needs to learn how things are done in real life, but through the very practical training as well as the experience from the professors, I felt very well prepared for my professional career.

The program itself was interesting and resourceful, although sometimes unnecessary subjects are included in the compulsory list. Plenty of chances to study and work internationally with field trips and exchange semesters to different countries around the world. The main program includes some technical – mechanical aspects at the basic level to ensure a proper knowledge base for students who want to get a job in the heavy industry later in life, not just plain business knowledge.

Although the campus is not located in a major city, it is still easy to reach by car and public transportation. In fact, the calm surroundings improved my overall study experience. I especially appreciated the welcome week at the beginning of the program, as it made it much easier to get to know other students than expected.
From the start, I also experienced a positive relationship with most professors, which was a good balance of mutual respect and enjoyable interaction. The first two semesters of my program provided a strong academic foundation and covered all essential content needed for further studies.
One of the highlights of my studies was the semester abroad in the third semester, which contributed significantly to my personal growth and created some of my best memories so far. In addition, further international experiences were actively encouraged and well supported by the program.

The only aspect that could be improved is the overall organization of the study program. At times, things felt somewhat disorganized, which caused occasional frustration. However, this did not significantly affect my overall positive experience.
