This university offers an excellent learning environment, and its Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence Solutions stands out for its strong alignment with current industry needs. The program combines up-to-date theoretical knowledge with a clear focus on practical, hands on experience. What makes it particularly valuable is its emphasis on real-world applications, allowing students to build relevant skills and gain confidence in applying AI concepts beyond the classroom. As a result, graduates are well-prepared to transition into professional roles and contribute effectively from day one. Another major strength of the program is its outstanding teaching staff. The instructors are highly knowledgeable in their fields and demonstrate a deep mastery of the subjects they teach. Their ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively creates a supportive and engaging learning environment.
View moreAs an alumni of the Electrical Engineering program, my experience at FH Wels was highly valuable, particularly in terms of practical, hands-on learning. The program is very well structured to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, which is critical in engineering.
One of the biggest strengths is the strong emphasis on laboratory work, projects, and applied problem-solving. We were not just learning concepts but actively implementing them—whether through simulations, hardware experiments, or system-level thinking. This approach significantly improved my confidence in tackling real engineering challenges in a professional environment.
The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, and many bring industry experience, which reflects in the way subjects are taught. The curriculum is aligned with industry needs, making the transition to the workplace much smoother.
If I had to highlight an area for improvement, it would be expanding exposure to emerging technologies and interdisciplinary topics even further. However, the foundation provided is strong enough to build on independently.
Overall, I would definitely recommend FH Wels to anyone looking for a practical, industry-oriented Electrical Engineering education.
View moreFH OÖ Wels was a great learning platform for me particularly as an international student. The full time, practice oriented setup makes up for a great experience overall. I studied Innovation and Product Management, where the courses centred on Innovation and Product Development in technical oriented organizations. The mix between technical topics and management topics complement the studies very well, although at times it can be challenging. The infrastructure of the university is great and felt very up-to-date. The hurdles with the university admin side were at times an issue, but mainly from communication rather that system. The classmates that I had, with a rich multicultural, multi-functional background made the discussions and overall learning experience even better. I would recommend the studies, as there are few universities that specialize in the topics as FH ÖO.
View moreWhen I was looking for master programs to apply for it was very important to me that the things that I was going to learn would prepare me for the future and I believe the university fulfilled this completely. The subjects were given focusing on the right technologies that are relevant for the job market of today and the future. This prepared me for the professional assignments I have had afterwards. Classes have a very good mix between theory and practice, so if you’re like me that learns best by seeing the theory into real action, this is the place for you.

FHOOE was one of the greatest life experiences for me, both personally and professionally. I discovered the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria by chance while searching for marketing degrees, and what immediately caught my attention was that it offered a Master’s program in Global Sales and Marketing entirely in English.
What truly stood out was the combination of practical skills and real-life experience brought by professors who had previously worked in various companies across Austria and internationally. In addition, the strong connection with industry through projects and collaborations with companies involved in Innocamp made the learning experience even more valuable.
The small class size and the short, interactive teaching sessions kept you constantly engaged. Another highlight was the opportunity to study one semester abroad at one of the university’s partner institutions, an incredible experience, worth for any student.
I studied in Steyr, a picturesque, student-friendly town that’s easy to get around and helps you keep living costs low. The university also has campuses in Linz, Wels, and Hagenberg, but Steyr truly felt like home.
Overall, it was an experience of a lifetime. I still share the word about FHOOE with students who are looking to pursue their studies abroad.
View moreMy experience at the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria was extremely positive. I am Brazilian and was an international student in the Master’s program in Innovation and Product Management. By my third semester, I had already been approached by a company and secured an internship thanks to the university’s strong reputation. Today, I have completed four years working and living in Austria. I can clearly say that the program opened many doors for me in the job market. During interviews, I often found that some of the managers were alumni from the same Master’s program.
Regarding the course itself, I chose the Design branch of Innovation and Product Management and truly enjoyed the interactive and dynamic classes. The professors assign challenging projects and give students a high degree of autonomy, mirroring real market conditions. This prepares us well for professional life. Additionally, we had classes about Austrian work culture and German language courses, which helped immensely with integration.
I believe that the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria offers a unique opportunity for those who want a smooth entry into the European job market, especially due to its central location in Austria.
