At the Creative Design School, we help individuals to break into the Creative Industries. Not only do we provide the essential skills and knowledge, but we also identify the personal needs and aspirations of each student. Whether they are new to design and want a new career direction or, have an established career and feel the need to extend their current skill set, we can help you progress up the career ladder. Our courses are kept up to date with the latest techniques and developments so you can be confident in this fast-moving industry.
Unlike many other academic institutions that concentrate on student numbers and fill as many subjects as possible with participants, we prefer the individual personal approach. Concentrating on the individual’s needs is vital to us as it helps us to build on the weak areas of our students and participants, plus increase and add to the skills they already have. That is another reason why our courses are also flexible. It takes the pressure out of learning which helps to expand the creative mind and creative thinking process.Show more
Great visual communication course, giving me portfolio-worthy work in branding, editorial, illustration, typography, and much more.
There was great support throughout the course, allowing space to ask questions or run through anything I was uncertain of. Additionally, there was freedom to tailor the projects to my personal interests, working around my schedule and job with great flexibility, which made a massive difference.
View moreI was struggling to find the right graphic design course until I came across the Creative Design School. Straight away, I realised this was the perfect course for me. I was looking for a course I could do online that was flexible and would work around my everyday life. I was impressed by the modules and what they covered, and that you get one-to-one tutor support throughout the course. I also needed help with building a professional portfolio, which this course covered.
I would highly recommend this course. I have learned so much from covering design briefs and how important it is to use a journal, and so much more. I now have a professional-looking portfolio. My tutor, Pete, has been amazing with great advice and support throughout the course.
When researching which course to take in order to get started in learning graphic design, I didn’t find any other school quite like Creative Design School. The one-to-one tutorials are perfect for someone, like me, who is starting with no experience in this field. Flexibility is built in to the course structure so I can easily work this course around my full-time day job. My tutor, Pete has become a mentor to me; he is happy to share his wealth of experience in the Design industry. It is clear that he genuinely cares about steering his students towards success. I completed the Logo Design and the Becoming a Freelancer short courses and I look forward to starting the Brand Identity and Corporate Design Specialist course in the coming weeks. I would highly recommend taking a course or two with CDS.
View moreI really enjoyed my Graphic Design Level 2 course and even signed up to another course with CDS when it was finished.
The modules were interesting and varied and my tutor Pete was extremely helpful and patient in taking me through the course. The one-on-one time you get with CDS is something not a lot of other courses seemed to offer. Pete provided me with really valuable insights and tailored our tutor sessions to my time, progress and interests as well as the areas in which I needed extra help.
It was great to see the progress I made over the months I was studying and I really appreciated the flexibility of the course which enabled me to work at my own pace and around other commitments. I would recommend this course and CDS in general to anyone thinking of moving into graphic design professionally, or even those who just have an interest in design or want a creative outlet.
View moreI started my Advanced Graphic Design Course after going to university. I studied in more of a Fine Art background, so I felt it would be useful for me to actually get a qualification in the work that I was already doing as a graphic designer in order to feel more confident in myself and my decisions.
It got all that and then some! I never really thought it would be possible to feel great about every project I do now but I really do, because I figured out my process as part of this course. Now things are less subjective – making me more comfortable with my decision making and the client happier too.
It was really helpful to have an industry expert as a tutor and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my course.
