As a EU student, coming to a foreign country to study seemed really scary. Questions like “What if they don’t understand my English?’ or ‘Will I be able to ask anybody for help?’ quickly disappeared after meeting the professors at LSBU. The way courses and seminars were structured made it easy to understand and actually leave the classroom with some fresh information, and the teachers were very eager to help and answer any questions. Overall great experience.
View moreI loved the vibe about this uni. It didnt take us long to adjust in. Amazing people and good places to chill after a long lecture. The campus is huge and can explore alot there. Campus life is amazing. Perfect location
View moreAn amazing and growing experience. Being an immigrant mother of 3, I did not feel out of place or “older”, as the University is in the heart of London. London is a “cultural melting pot”. Students from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nigeria, Congo, Kenya, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago….
So many campuses across London, amazing architectural designs of the buildings and scenery. Right on the south bank of the Thames River. Amazing facilities, and access to an abundance of books and reading materials. A lot of funding from all industries in London goes into the University. Especially the arts. Great nightlife, amazing party life. I used to attend boat parties with my student friends, right on the Thames!
A lot of my course required a lot of thorough independent learning. We were given opportunities to work with the disabled, elderly at different institutions to have hands on experience. Then we could apply it into our written work. Course leaders and tutors were helpful in showing us exactly how to improve, and what to take note for when we went out on our various placements. A lot of my essays were first class level, but were capped due to handing them in late. I still had to balance being a mother and studying. But course tutors were understanding of this! The course opened many doors for me, and now I have risen up the social work ladder.
I would recommend if you would love to explore London! Just passing from one campus to another and you will see all that London has to offer!
