I have had a really positive experience at London South Bank University. The academic programs are highly practical, focusing heavily on real-world applications, data, and modern industry techniques rather than just pure theory. The professors are supportive and bring valuable industry insights into the classroom.
The campus location is also a massive bonus—being right in the heart of London makes commuting easy and offers fantastic opportunities for networking and student life. I would highly recommend LSBU to anyone looking for a university that genuinely prepares you for the professional world.

The programme offers a good mix of theory and practical learning. The lecturers are supportive and the university provides helpful resources for students. The multicultural environment also makes studying more interesting. However, administrative processes can sometimes be slow. Overall, it is a good place to study and I would recommend it to other students.

My experience at London South Bank was great, even though I had started the course as an in person student but then was made to move to online due to the pandemic. The course content itself was everything I was looking for, the staff was very engaging and support services were readily available at all times. Why I gave this 4/5 stars is simply because I missed the in person factor of studies, and although I understand that was out of the universities control, I believe that there could have been more online events/lectures for students to build relationships.

The teaching was generally supportive, and I appreciated the accessibility of staff when I needed help.

The university’s location in central London is another major plus—it made access to internships, guest lectures, and networking events much easier. Campus life was decent, though not as lively as some larger universities, and the facilities were being modernized while I was studying.

What could be improved is some of the administrative processes—they were occasionally slow or confusing, especially around enrollment and exam schedules. Also, depending on the course, class sizes could get quite large, which impacted the personal attention from lecturers.

I would recommend LSBU to students looking for a more affordable London-based university that prioritizes employability and real-world skills. It may not have the prestige of some other London universities, but it delivers solid value and opportunities if you’re motivated.
