I chose De Montfort University primarily for its research opportunities and academic quality, but I also got a lot more! The university’s state-of-the-art facilities, welcoming community, and exciting location make it an excellent place to learn and grow. Professors are affable, knowledgeable, and passionate about their subjects. I’ve had amazing experiences through industry connections, internships, and volunteer work. DMU’s emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving has given me the tools I need to meet the challenges of the modern world.

Attending De Montfort University was a life-changing experience that well beyond my expectations. The campus is lovely, with all of the necessary amenities for students to prosper, and the job prospects are many. The lecturers’ enthusiasm for their subjects makes learning engaging and supportive. They have the ability to make complex things interesting and accessible, which keeps me motivated and wanting to participate. I am very pleased to learn and be a part of the De Montfort University community. The institution has been a terrific experience for me, and I am grateful to be here.

One of the best universities both academic and extra curricular wise. Great Lecturers that paved my path well to become who I am today and would recommend this university and new student who want to learn more and to brighten their horizon.

I think this university is good, however it could improve in key aspects. In could improve in the area of communication between teachers and students. In my opinion, its a teachers duty to communicate effectively to their students, however this is not always the case.

I am currently studying at DMU and life here is EXTRAVAGANT! Amazing protocols for education yet student life is super fun. Amazing events are held by the university and it lets your exposure brighten up.

I was a business student at DMU. The facilities and surroundings of this uni are great, no problem at all. However, some teachers don’t give students proper results and they don’t leave specific feedbacks.

You’ll most likely only enjoy DMU if you try to make the most of it.

Doing a Business and Management course was pretty easy and enjoyable, nothing too difficult. If you want to be challenged this isn’t the subject for you. There really isn’t too much to it, the facilities are good and most professors are really helpful and will try to make lectures and seminars enjoyable.

The real value comes from the support you can get around your subject. For example the employability team. Going for a placement is something that can be extremely stressful and they make it manageable. If you where to compare my first CVs and Cover Letters to those and the end of the academic year you would be shocked. My ability and confidence in interviews rose dramatically thanks to them making sure I was prepared.
This is just one example of many things that are in place at DMU.

The reason I say “make the most of it” is because you will have to ask for them. You will be made aware of all this support, but you have to go ask for it.

So would I recommend you to go DMU, yes. If you are willing to put in a little bit of work and go look for support then, it can make your time there worthwhile.
