The university was lovely and very supportive. The staff I found within the mathematics department were very friendly and approachable. They would offer any out of hours help if needed and were very attentive to any personal aspects.

For example, I had to return home for an unfortunate family issue and my professor was very empathetic and provided extra time for my deadlines at the time.

The facilities offered were good and mathematics students were offered a degree specific room only, this was to provide support and share ideas/learnings with those on the same course as you.

Campus life was great, they offered many events around and contained a variety of clubs you can join. As a multi-cultural student, I was able to join up the Vietnamese society to meet other Vietnamese students and build a connection there.

I loved attending this university! The campus was very large but was well signposted and easy to get around. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. I had some amazing lecturers who were really dedicated to the subject. The library was a great area, with different levels for different types of work, e.g. silent or group work. They also had a brand new Students union building with some amazing events! The only down side is that it’s a little far from the city centre, the quickest bus is around 20 minutes, whereas some can take an hour. I would recommend staying on site for the first year and then moving into the city centre for the following years to really experience Bristol nightlife!
