I am currently in my second year at Aston University, pursuing BSC Business and Management. Aston is praised for its award-winning business school and from my experience I definitely agree with this statement.

I have liked the mix of modules covered in my course, including accounting, IT, operations management and marketing amongst others. Giving me a chance to experience the breadth of business as a whole. I disliked the attendance machines as in room switches we had to inform lecturers of our presence, which was inconvenient.

I would recommend anyone doing a business related degree to study at Aston as the teaching and structure is great

The transition to university is a big step for everyone, and moving out of the safety of my household to a space filled with strangers was daunting, but meeting new people was and still is a huge thrill. I met many people and found that students around campus are friendly, talented and intelligent. I have met many like-minded people while cultivating my passions and gaining experiences that can boost my CV. As a business student, the academic part of my university life can be stressful. However, I fight the urge to work tirelessly by deliberately taking breaks, going to networking events on campus, or just relaxing. Living independently can be fun and challenging simultaneously, as I do not have someone there taking care of me, but it gives me the independence I need. Overall, my experience at university has been very calm and enriching, and taking one day at a time allows me to enjoy it.

I enjoy the facilities that Aston University provides, such aa; academic support, support from different departments and members of the universe such as ABS, Placement team etc. as well as wide resources from the library, gym and sports facilities.

At Aston University we have an excellent business school, many of our lecturers are very talented and are able to teach us well. Truthfully, there can be some improvements such as more straight teaching, we currently have lectures in which it feels like they go through slides. We expect a new approach.

Aston is an amazing University especially for Business students like myself. Lecturers are really helpful. Also, the careers team are very supportive especially when it comes to looking for a job. They give you good interview tips and outstanding advice on CVs and Cover letters.

There is a lot of freedom when it comes to the Business Degrees at Aston. On one hand students are allowed to pave their own paths but if you don’t know what that path is tailoring your experience can be a very stressful and complicated. However as a final year student at Aston University, I can say that I am happy to be here there is a wide variety of resources to help equip students for the working world.

I really enjoy my time at Aston University, i am currently in placement year and have had two years at Aston. I mostly enjoy the social side of it and being apart of the sports community. Every wednesday we gather at the student union and head out for a night of fun! The staff at Aston are very supportive and understanding.
