My experience at the University of KwaZulu-Natal has been both enriching and challenging in a positive way. UKZN has provided me with a strong academic foundation while also encouraging independence, critical thinking, and personal growth. The learning environment is diverse and exposes you to different perspectives, which has helped me grow both academically and socially.

View morei entered university at the age of 18. i was “wet behind the ears” as it were. i was young but i was open to expriences. it was my first time staying alone and i was soley in control of my finences. i learnt the value of a dollar(rands in my country). the friends i made are still my friends (that should tell you something). most of my traits were developed during this time. i started drinking, i lost my varginity and i achived high marks. i understood what it meant to push yourself to reach a certain goal. the friends i made were there for support and motivation. i really enjoyed my biology classes. the professor was a jokester, he really knew how to make you love what you were learning
View moreso I was looking for an appeal letter indicating that I need only only 36 credits to complete my degree they were playing back and forth ,when I write an email to the person they would refer me to the next person the next person also does the same thing no help at all .
View moreThis university is decent in terms of academic progress but has its moments with the lack of communication at times. I liked the social and supportive aspect as well as the legendary schwarma shop. I disliked the interruptions sometimes but they also came at benefit when you are not prepared for an exam or assignment submission. The lecturers all have their negatives and positive sides, depends what type of people you resonate with.
