UKZN was both good and bad to me, in my first year I struggled with funding yooo🤦🏾‍♀️ that year was tough but after I got funding I won’t say it was smooth but I got a taste of bieng a varsity student and it was amazing really. I never had problems like not getting a res, NSFAS, even small things like not getting help from RMS. I really do believe that UKZN Insipires greatness if you won’t pay much attention to haters.

At the moment this university says I have an existing qualification with them and I have never applied to study there or even gone there.I tried to clear my name but they keep on denying it to be true because they don’t want to admit fraudulent actions from their side and when you call they will take you from office to office.
I struggle to get funding because of this

This university has bad customer service very bad and all they care about is money while they are running our futures

I have been a student at UKZN since 2015. I owed them R11000. I am still paying. I have never received a statement. The debit orders have been going on for 7 years now. How long are they still gonna deduct money from me?

I am grateful for being given the chance to do a bridging course when I did not qualify to do mainstream. Now I passed my bridge course and I am doing my dream course. UKZN made my dream come true.

Very bad service I am receiving from finance. In 2020 and 2021 I made all the efforts to arrange for a financial block to be removed and ended up not registering. I am again this year going through the same pain. Your emails are either ignored or you are asked to submit the same documents you submitted to them already. One cannot even call the finance department because the number is always engaged. This is emotionally draining just to get me to register. I am not happy with them at all. Worse part their process doesn’t even provide any solution or escalation point for someone who is not getting joy from them.

Worst University. I would not recommend it. Refused to give the results of the module I had written. Spoke to the lecturer and informed me it was not he’s department. I am very saddened by this. UKZN is causing me pain with this

They will hold your hand but will not spoon-feed. The University of KwaZulu-Natal needs determination and people that know what they want. I highly recommend it and believe it is one of the best universities in South Africa

I now understand why this university ranked top three, they offer the quality best education and produce good graduates that are employable. Most employers prefer graduates that are from the university of KwaZulu-Natal.

They have reasonable tuition and registration fees. For my degree and accommodation, it’s all less than 100 thousand. In most universities such as wits, fees can add up to 200 thousand and you still have to pay for extra services such as parking, etc.

I am doing my dream course and getting amazing support from my supervisors and professors. The UKZN Pertemaritzburg is so big and beautiful, so accommodating and respects diversity. We all leave in harmony.
