It is a good school, with a diverse background, there are a lot of programmes that one can join to feel at home, these range from religious programmes to social clubs like the LGBTQ community. There are also extra classes for people who need them which are facilitated by our peers, which is a good thing for some people who are shy around lecturers. What I disliked about this school is the people who work at administration, they don’t want to assist students, when you get there asking for help they take their own sweet time or tell you that they don’t want to assist you. Employing new people at administration would greatly improve the school.

UKZN is a great institution, I admire the system that they are using to teach. This university is one of the best universities. The quality of education is top notch. All resources are available which makes it eaiser for learning. I would reccommend this university anyday, anytime.

I think Ukzn is fairly a good university probably lacking good management. What I don’t like about it is the working staff,they tend to delay our processes of registration by taking time to approve our application, they don’t provide feedbacks as to reason why your application is delayed,they don’t go an extra mile to help out the student.In my experience I had to do a change of curriculum I was then directed to the one whose apparently in charge for my college but he kept on referring me to his other colleagues who weren’t helpful,I ended up receiving assitant from a different ADOs College, in my waiting period class had resumed I therefore missed out on alot of work.
What I like about it is that they provide us with security so we feel safe as student within our residence,hospitality is good they keep the university clean,they fund student who are excelling academically and those who are in needy

I think it depends on which college are you in,for humanities student I wouldn’t recommend the university for them but as for other colleges I’d hear people speak highly of the management there and how they are good in assisting student.

It is honestly a good institution but I feel like it can get better if it could work hand in hand with the students. What I don’t like talking from experience is the registration period every year whether first or second semester. As students we don’t get assistance on time leading to us being behind with our school work, some to even failing the module(s). To add on that ADOs, finance staff, as well as the housing staff TAKE THEIR OWN SWEET TIME TO ASSIST US!!. I would recommend this institution obviously if you want to see and experience the beautiful province of KZN but all I can say is be prepared to booking appointments with the psychologist for the rest of your study period in UKZN.

UKZN is a good institution that has an international reputation for academic excellence. What I don’t like about UKZN is that management does not prioritise student’s issues. I would recommend UKZN to others because it’s not like every university is perfect.

Ukzn is quite an old institute but as time goes they should have dated ways on navigating around the Campus.
One thing I love about UKZN is the unique infrastructure, I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I like the fact that they have sports. I dont like how disorganized they are but its not hell. It’s a great varsity cause of the great experience I’ve had. I would recommend it as I’ve recommended to others

I was doing a degree I loved, enjoyed the work and acquired the knowledge and skill I came for. I had my prime nsfas years and I enjoyed everything about ukzn. There’s rarely time to sleep though cause academics are a bit overwhelming but I’d still recommend it to anyone.

The administration is the worse, during registration some of the modules did not appear and that was stressful. I was supposed to do 8 modules and only 4 are appearing and non of the administrators wants to help.
