

I love how the staff is so professional, it is easy to navigate the University even if its your first time there. You can see the will to help from everyone that works there. I would definitely recommend this University.

What I Liked:
The lecturers are knowledgeable and genuinely committed to helping students succeed.
There are plenty of academic resources available, including libraries, study spaces, and support services.
The university encourages personal growth, independence, and critical thinking.
Campus life is active and offers many opportunities to get involved.
What I Disliked:
Administrative processes can be slow and frustrating at times.
Communication between departments is not always clear, which can make simple tasks feel complicated.
During busy periods, student support services can take long to respond.
Would I Recommend It?
Yes. Despite some administrative challenges, the academic quality and overall student experience make the University of Pretoria a strong choice. It’s a great environment for students who want a solid academic foundation and opportunities to grow personally and professionally.
UP is a great university with well equipped library and lecture halls. As well as computer labs that made online research and typing up assignments easily accessible to students. I felt fully supported throughout my undergrad and post grad by the lecturers and tutors.

The lecturers know their stuff, but don’t expect anyone to spoon-feed you — you really have to push yourself, ask questions, and go the extra mile if you want to thrive.
What I liked most was the structure and the variety of courses. Things were well-organised and there were good online resources too. Some professors genuinely cared and were open to helping, which made a big difference.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if you’re serious about your studies and don’t mind figuring things out on your own sometimes.
