A business cannot survive if its products are not marketed in the proper way. Luckily for all the businesses out there, the number of candidates wanting to pursue a marketing career is growing tremendously.
The aim of this degree is to help students anticipate, manage, and satisfy customers’ needs and wants. By doing so, they will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of any business product to the targeted market.
Due to the fact that marketing is a complex industry, which tackles many areas ranging from market research to advertising and promotion, this degree focuses on all parts of the process before concentrating on a particular area of study.
Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
I think that Nova IMS is a great university for studying data driven degrees, the quality of instruction is excelent and the teachers are really helpful:

Nova School of Business and Economics, where academia meets a vibrant mosaic of ideas. Imagine a place where every lecture is a conversation, and every student is a potential collaborator. The campus breathes innovation, with its sleek architecture mirroring the progressive mindset within. Professors are more than just instructors; they’re conduits of knowledge, weaving economic theories into the fabric of real-world applications.
Beyond the classrooms, Nova is a hub of activity. The bustling corridors are like arteries, pulsating with the energy of diverse minds converging. It’s not just a school; it’s an ecosystem where networking isn’t a buzzword but a way of life. The learning isn’t confined to textbooks; it’s an immersive experience where case studies morph into lively debates, and every assignment is a step toward understanding the intricate dance of economics.
As a student at Nova, it’s not about conforming to norms; it’s about challenging them. The school doesn’t just prepare you for a career; it shapes your ability to navigate the complexities of a changing world. Nova School of Business and Economics isn’t just an institution; it’s a dynamic force molding the business leaders of tomorrow.
What I liked the most was the type of teaching, which was quite international and which appealed to the constant interaction of students, both during classes and after classes. The teachers are always available to help and answer questions.
View moreNOVA IMS is a great University. I took the Data Science and Advanced Analytics master programme and I’m very satisfied with the outcomes. First it’s really important to have the applicability of the theorical lectures and I think it was very dynamic and objective the way that they approached it. The facilities are great, the professors are friendly and the environment was easy for the ones that are looking for networking and more opportunities at the market. I’m very glad and I totally recommended it.
View moreI’ve studied at NOVA IMS for a year and I got completely surprised by how bad this university works, regardless of all the good marketing and supposedly “great rankings”.
However, the truth is that as soon as you start, you’ll understand there are lots of problems regarding the planning of the courses, institutional procedures and specially, you’ll soon confirm by yourself there is no effort at all on helping students, even with problems caused by their lack of organization and bad planning.
