A business cannot survive if its products are not marketed in the proper way. Luckily for all the businesses out there, the number of candidates wanting to pursue a marketing career is growing tremendously.
The aim of this degree is to help students anticipate, manage, and satisfy customers’ needs and wants. By doing so, they will be able to effectively communicate the benefits of any business product to the targeted market.
Due to the fact that marketing is a complex industry, which tackles many areas ranging from market research to advertising and promotion, this degree focuses on all parts of the process before concentrating on a particular area of study.
Good news for marketing graduates! If you did not know yet, marketing is an essential aspect of all types of businesses, from all sectors of activity. Thus, all of them rely on marketers to promote and sell their products. A high market demand comes with many job opportunities available.
According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
I had a great experience studying at the University of Lodz. The curriculum had a great variety of lessons and the professors were very helpful. Their way of working, through assignments, group projects or individual tasks made me learn a lot and understand better the core value of each lesson.
View moreLast year, during one semester, I had the amazing opportunity to study at the University of Łódź. When people ask me to tell them what I liked the most about the program it is somehow hard to explain, since I enjoyed almost everything about it.
Firstly, the relationship between professor and student. It is very interesting to understand the way classes work in different countries, and I liked very much the dynamic of the teaching method in the University of Łódź, essentially because it made me more autonomous and the subjects taught addressed very current topics. Secondly, I had the opportunity to meet people from different cultures, which was very fulfilling.
One thing I know for sure is that I would recommend it to everyone who asks me.
What I regret the most is not having the opportunity to have face-to-face classes, due to the pandemic situation. I think it would have been great to meet my colleagues and professors in person and also to get in touch with the university’s facilities, which looked great.
I really like the way how open and kind teachers and students are. They put your character and growth above what they can teach you and it’s awesome. Most people there like the fact that you are doing different things, they want you to do different things than just studying and they will support you in it.
View moreThis university has a wide range of studies and anyone around the world can come to study in English, it’s a great opportunity to know new cultures, people and way of thinking. Some of their faculties are being adequate to get students motivated and the international stuff is always aware to help your needs
View moreI would like to tell that the university has 12 big faculties, which are located in the city centre. Firstly when I came I was afraid of teachers, because they looked so strict. After some months we became like friends, of course not with everyone. They are not only giving us education, but for foreign students big support and advice. University is diversified, you can meet interesting people and new culture.
