In comparison, the University of Ibadan (UI) offers a wonderful student experience and a secure feeling. The university campus has excellent amenities as well as a wide variety of clubs and extracurricular activities. Excellent support personnel and professors as well. No matter where one is from, they will fit in at the university because the student body is so diverse.

View moreIf you’re looking for a Nigerian school you can go to and compete successfully with peers on an international level, UI is the school for you, but I must warn you: UI is stressful. Everything about it from the first day I registered till my final year project was a big indicator that stress is their modus operandi. The protocol is excessive for simple tasks and archaic, inefficient methods of record-keeping are used. The facilities aren’t so bad overall tho, and the lecturers are usually well qualified. There are even a couple of good lecturers that actually care about student wellbeing. But all in all, most of my good memories from there are the people I met. Social life in Ibadan is quite nice compared to other parts of the South outside Lagos.
