My Opinion About the University of Ibadan (UI)
University of Ibadan shines as Nigeria’s oldest and one of its most prestigious public universities with a compelling legacy of academic excellence. Established in 1948 and becoming independent in 1962, it remains highly ranked nationally and internationally continually placing among top universities in Nigeria and the continent

What stands out:
Rich academic heritage and renowned alumni.
Well-structured programs across levels and research.
A hub for intellectual growth and cultural vibrancy.

what i like about university of ibadan
1. Rich curriculum: Balanced coverage of theory, policy, legal frameworks, quantitative tools, and practical supervision components.

The following are what i did not like
1. Resource constraints: Like many Nigerian universities, potential issues may include funding limitations or aging infrastructure, though none is explicitly documented

RECOMMENDATION
1. Maximize practical components

University of Ibadan is the first university in Nigeria. Which this precious standard of the school it holds prestigious influence, standards it sets for others to follow. An institution which does not only focus on academics excellence but shapes students in moral, character and attitude to fit into the society. UI provides serene environment for learning, high profile lecturers and issue a world wide certification which is acceptable world wide. It balances its environment with other social amenities such like a sport arena, a zoo, a standard zoo etc for relaxation and recreation. It also provides a standard health care facility with standard equipment n qualified doctors n nurses. It run a 24/7 library during session.

University of Ibadan really made me to know more about myself, how passionate I was with a career in the education sector. After my postgraduate diploma in education, I realise that I have more inside of me to share with the world than what it’s now. The lecturers who lectures me are superb, they were outstanding in all areas. Although it was not easy for me because I had to jingle work with studying together, due to my responsibility on ground, but am glad it was all worth it in the end

The University of Ibadan, as a citadel of learning, is a well-known institution with a rich history, having produced many great minds in society today. I believe that in order to improve the university’s performance, it needs to renovate some of the lecture halls to make the learning process more conducive. However, it is a school I would recommend to anyone looking to learn in a friendly yet disciplined environment. Aside from the chance to excel academically, there are also social activities that one can engage in to bring out the best version of themselves.

My time at the University of Ibadan was nothing short fantastic. From my entry level as a naive and inexperienced lad to rising as the president of my department and the Vice of the Student Representative Council. It was a glorious season. It contributed to mw growth and shaped my perspective about the new world

It’s a great school that has the conducive environment for learning and bettering oneself , but in my opinion I would suggest for the school to create space for a little ease on the students in other for them to have a little social life as the school does little to encourage social interactions and life .

University of Ibadan has an amazing academic standard that ensures they have access to some of the brightest minds in the country. I like the many options of course that is available, the inclusion of foreign students, and the option of choosing if you want to reside in the school hostel or a private hostel while on campus depending on your financial status. What I wish was different is the social life of the school that has reduced over the years and it is mainly academic focused. Social events still happen but not as many as probably other schools so if you do not care for social events, University of Ibadan is the best choice for you. I mean they are the first and the best for a reason
