studied Chemistry at the University of Rostock and overall, I had a valuable academic experience. The programme helped me deepen my knowledge in organic chemistry, catalysis and laboratory work. I am an international PhD student at the University of Rostock and joined LIKAT in September last year. My experience so far has been positive overall. The university offers a good research environment, especially for students interested in chemistry and catalysis research. At LIKAT, I had the opportunity to work with modern equipment and interact with researchers from different backgrounds, which helped me develop both scientifically and personally.
Rostock is also a calm and beautiful city, especially for students who prefer a quieter environment compared to larger German cities. The cost of living is relatively manageable, and the Baltic Sea atmosphere makes the city unique.
