More of a Business Model, Good for self study

IU International University is definitely one of the most affordable private universities in Germany, which makes it attractive for many students. However, it often feels more like a business than a traditional university — the system is highly structured and profit-oriented, and sometimes it can feel like the institution doesn’t really focus on the individual student experience.

That said, the professors and tutors are genuinely kind, approachable, and helpful. They put in effort to support you personally and guide you when you reach out, which makes a big difference. Their encouragement can really help you grow academically if you take initiative.

Overall, IU can be a good choice if you are independent and self-driven. The university provides the resources and framework, but the results depend a lot on your own effort. If you rely only on the degree, it may feel lacking. But if you use IU as a platform and combine it with your own dedication, the experience can be quite fruitful.
