The EPF is a French general engineering university divided in three campuses : one in Cachan, one in Troyes and another one in Montpellier. This is the 6th best general engineering university of France, according to the Figaro Etudiant 2020 grading. 2400 students, including 1500 in Cachan, build their professional future at EPF. The EPF has many various majors that allowed students to truly find their own way. I’m glad to take part of the university’s life.

In this engineering school, there are 3 years of bachelor common to all students, which give the bases in maths, physics and tools useful as an engineer (ex : software, …). And then for the master’s degree, you can choose a field of application for these bases. I chose the health course. The choice of course only in the Master’s is really an advantage because it gives students time to choose the field that interests them. Another advantage is that in the Master’s programme, the professors are mostly external speakers from laboratories and companies and have a good knowledge of the subject they present.
There are also a large number of internships in the curriculum which allow students to test their professional projects and to develop human skills by getting involved in associations. It is also necessary to spend at least one semester abroad.

The EPF is a great general school that allows you to have an overall view of different sectors.
There are a lot of different associations that will help you to find the right one and easily participate in the life of the campus.
During the 5 years, there are many ways to learn and progress. Group projects, individual work or practical work will help you to finally find what you want to do and find your specialisation in the 4th year.
