Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas is an excellent university with a strong academic reputation, but it is also extremely demanding. The pace is very fast, and the workload can be overwhelming.

What I liked most was the quality of the legal education and the intellectual challenge. What I liked least was the intensity of the program, which can sometimes be stressful.

I would recommend Assas to students who genuinely enjoy studying and are ready to work hard. If you’re not prepared for a fast-paced and demanding environment, it can be a difficult experience. One piece of advice is to surround yourself with supportive classmates—having a good support system is almost essential because succeeding there is very hard on your own.

Studied via distance,only two of the six modules had anything relevant to do with law and there is zero teaching. Absolutely zero teaching. What they want you to do is purchase their books so they pocket money, with no education behind it. Having done Mt first degree in 2000, I was shocked at the low quality of education at this “university”. Save your money and find a quality programme elsewhere.

Paris Panthéon-Assas is a renowned university. The teaching staff listens to their students, and their aim is to train them to become competent elements in the legal field being it as barristers or legal advisers. There is a qualified administrative staff who is present and attentive to the problems submitted by students. A friendly campus environment that encourages students’ personal development. The modules offered by the university are key points of reference in international and national law.

The University of Assas is the first university under French law and for that, I must give a favourable opinion on the lectures given to us. We are very lucky to have a quality of higher education at the majority of French universities. However, to succeed in this university, you have to be motivated and not be afraid of not being accompanied. Indeed, Assas offers excellent training but we can only rely on ourselves to succeed. The level of requirement is very high. As for the atmosphere within the university, it is clear that many will say that there is a cold, tense and competitive atmosphere but I think that if we really want to be part of university life Assas allows us a lot, such as joining associations that defend ideas. Once back in student life, we can only feel happy.
