Where are you from and what degree are you studying?
Hello! I’m Araizhan Musabekova from the vibrant city of Astana, Kazakhstan. I am currently diving into the world of business as a first-year BBA student.
What were your initial expectations and emotions as you prepared to begin your studies here?
Imagine a rollercoaster of excitement and nerves – that was me gearing up for my studies! Expectations were high, and emotions were this mix of thrill and a bit of “first-day butterflies.”
Living in a different country and city added an extra layer of excitement. It was my first time so far from home, making the whole experience a bit nerve-wracking and exhilarating. Meeting new people and the prospect of personal growth just added to the overall thrill.
What was your first impression of Wroclaw?
My first time in Wroclaw was like stepping into a mix of history and modern life. The old cobblestone streets had stories to tell, and the city’s lively atmosphere showed its current vibe. While wandering around, I found these hidden treasures – cosy coffee spots, walls painted with lively street art, and locals being part of their day.
What advice would you offer to new students starting their studies at this university and adjusting to life in a new city?
To the new students, welcome to Wroclaw University and the thrilling journey ahead! Envision yourself as the protagonist of your story. University of Wroclaw places a strong emphasis on internationalization. It attracts students and scholars from around the world, creating a multicultural and cosmopolitan atmosphere. This diversity fosters cross-cultural understanding,exchange and collaboration, this in turn makes us the students ready for an interconnected globalized world. Despite the language barrier faced by some international students, I would recommend the school to other people.
My Opinion about UWR is beyond this review, as I am very grateful to all Professors since day 1. The boundaries are surely high as I am honored to be granted the title of a Master’s degree graduate. What I admired in UWr is the dedication and that spirit of learning that surrounds the campus. For my Major As AIO Graduate, I truly learned and saw how much the courses are heavily weighted with important knowledge and here you know the difference between UWr and other universities. I would recommend UWr for each Student that would like to pursue a higher level of learning and growth in Poland. Thank you.
Before starting my studies, I had a perception of what studying at a European university might be like. Looking through the beautifully designed website of the university of Wroclaw that guides you through the programmes, and all the necessary information on applications, programmes schedule, discourse, credit and every other required info. For a newbie, I have found what I have dreamed of studying. Application preparation and filling was made as easy as it gets, all thanks to the university’s International Office and after acceptance. The university’s master programmes met all the expectation I had. The lecturers, have been excellently chosen for their position and they have delivered what was required from them and in my personal experience during writing thesis, students were assisted excellently by the supervisors. Thus to sum this up, and overall, I have had one of the most beautiful, academically excellent and amazing student life in the city and with the university of Wroclaw. What I have learnt and acheived with the university is something I take with me everywhere I go in career and journey. And I am still and proudly their alumni and international ambassador and I highly recommend it.
The programme is amazing, full of international students, the classes are brilliant, very broad topics, professors are excellent and the teaching method is very adaptive to the situation. Student life and the city is very good, cheap city, well connected, very good public transports and connections to the university, city centre, neighbourhood and other cities.
