I love how small my classes are allowing me to create a relationship with my professors to learn more about myself and how I can improve. The students and professors are great and make Laurier a warm place to attend school
View moreAs a communications studies major, I really enjoyed the variety of different classes the program offered. The program really is what you make it. I switched out from Economics because I wasn’t feeling too sure about what career I wanted to pursue in the future. Studying communications allowed for me to leave multiple paths open for myself and curate my degree to my liking. There are only 4 required communications courses you must take and the rest are up to you and which path you want to follow (sports media, cultural, media and history, digital media, visual communication, etc.)
The student life at Laurier is fantastic. Everyone is super friendly. There aren’t any major “cliques” that run the campus. Each club is very humble and all the students are very easy-going and nice. It’s a fairly small campus which makes it easy to run into people, but with that, it’s nice to always run into familiar faces! The small campus also makes it easy for getting to your back-to-back class on time since everything is a short walking distance!
