UNYP truly stands out thanks to its personal and individual approach to students. The classes are highly engaging, dynamic, and discussion-based, which makes the entire learning experience much more interactive and meaningful. This is not a university where you are forced to memorize useless scripts of information for exams. Rather, students are encouraged to think critically, participate, and genuinely engage with the topics being discussed.
One of the biggest strengths of UNYP is its professors. They are not only experts in their respective fields, but also incredibly inspiring people with a very human and approachable attitude toward students.
The international environment is another huge advantage. You are constantly exposed to different cultures and perspectives through both classmates and professors from all around the world, which adds so much value to the experience overall.
If you are looking for a high-quality, engaging, and international English-language education in any major, UNYP is an excellent choice.
View moreI was a bit unsure what to expect when I started at UNYP, but it genuinely surprised me in the best way. The professors are very knowledgeable and skilled and you can tell they’ve worked in the real world. The classes don’t feel like just reading from a textbook but give you practical skills and perspectives you can use beyond the classroom.
The campus is nice and the location is great. Everything is close by and the vibe on campus is very international, which I love.
Career-wise, UNYP actually connects you to the working world while you’re still studying. There are networking events, connections to employers, and an active alumni community you can actually reach out to. I find this a huge advantage compared to other schools.
As a Media and Communication student at UNYP, I really appreciate the modern and welcoming campus environment. The class schedules are flexible and manageable, making it easier to balance studies with work or other commitments. Many professors come directly from the media and communication industry, so classes feel practical and relevant. What also stands out is the individual approach from both professors and administration, they are supportive, approachable and genuinely interested in students’ success. The variety of interesting and useful courses also makes the program a great choice for building real skills for a future career in media and communication as well as enjoying what you are studying! Overall would very recommend!
View moreEveryone is friendly in this university and approachable. UNYP emphasizes “a place where you belong”. I moved from another university to UNYP and my experience here has been so amazing. I have had amazing teachers and made good friends. We are provided with good resources that help us with everything we could possibly need.
View moreI’ve spent the last 3 years at UNYP and it’s been a fantastic experience. The faculty members are incredibly supportive and bring a lot of real-world expertise to the classroom. I feel like the curriculum is actually preparing me for the job market, not just exams.
View moreMy experience at UNYP has been really positive. Everyone is very welcoming, kind, and always willing to help, whether it’s the professors, staff, or other students, which makes it easy to feel comfortable and supported. Prague is also an amazing city to study in, and the university is in a perfect location with easy access to everything, which makes the experience even better. The events organized by the university are fun and a great way to meet new people and feel part of the community. One thing some might see as a downside is that the university is relatively small, but I actually think that’s an advantage because it allows teachers to give more personal attention and find individual ways to help students. Overall, I would definitely recommend UNYP to anyone looking for a friendly, supportive, and international university experience!
View moreI really like UNYP because the teachers are so enthusiastic about the subjects they teach. Generally, most of the lessons were very interesting and engaging, and I truly enjoyed them. The teachers are experts in their respective fields, and it’s always fun to talk to them about research and ideas. Additionally, I would really like to point out the opportunities, general contacts and experiences in psychology!
View moreI liked the approach UNYP has towards students. Professors are knowledgeable and always willing to help. The student council is always organising different activities for students, which really brings the student community together 🙂 i can only recommend UNYP
View moreI have been at this university for going on 6 years now. I must say that the experience has been overall pretty good.
The courses are a great wide range of topics that will take you through your degree. I actually did two degrees so I have experience in the Psychology and Business paths. I am also doing a master’s program in Psychology as we speak. I would say most professors are knowledgeable in their fields and are willing to put in the effort to help you learn. There are lots of opportunities for more hands-on learning experiences and group work, which is nice. I would say most classes are strict but fair. If you give effort and pay attention, you will do well.
The campus, while small, continues to grow. In my six years here, they have added a student lounge, moved the student lounge to a much bigger space, added a new floor for classes, and are working on adding another. They continue to update the facilities and capabilities over time, which is nice to see.
Students are encouraged to take part in events, foster communities, and start clubs. There are some clubs that come and go as demand shifts but it is always an avenue for students to pursue. Additionally, the university hosts a diverse cast of students from all over the world and it is likely you will meet someone that is also from your home country if you look for them.
The location is really nice and there are lots of places for students to spend time after classes such as cafes, fast food, and bars. The university has its own cafe as well.
My only negative comments are mostly directed at the administrative offices as their handling of communication of details are subpar. I would definitely solidify everything with them down to the letter before signing any contracts. Be sure what is said is also confirmed in writing to prevent miscommunication down the line. Otherwise, its fine, you dont spend much time in those offices anyways. Any other negativities I have of the university can be found in every university as well, such as a few unpopular teachers, etc, but its not anything to mark it down.
In short, its a good university with a lot to offer. If you want to study abroad. Prague is very beautiful with a fascinating history that should be better known in the world. If you wish to come to the Czech Republic, UNYP is a great choice. Teachers will put in effort for you to get the education you need and the quality of the facilities is modern and up to date.
View moreI’m a business administration student at UNYP. What do I like about UNYP? Well, first of all I want to mention the small class size. It’s nothing like huge lecture halls where you just listen passively or fall asleep in the back row. Smaller classes mean more interaction and more attention from professors. You’re not just a listener but you’re an active participant in discussions. You can ask questions at any moment, and you know the professor will take the time to answer and help you understand. I also love the flexibility in building your own schedule. Knowing your own strengths, habits, and workload, you can plan your semester in a way that works best personally for you. On top of that, there are many electives to choose from just because you’re genuinely interested in the subject area. The whole system feels open and democratic, American style
Throughout my studies I met many professors with whom I built friendly, supportive relationships. They were always ready to help; if a student struggled with a topic, professors were open to meeting on campus to go through the material together. Over the years, I’ve done everything from group projects and presentations to debates and even small performances. It has been a genuinely engaging, memorable, fun experience
And the last thing I want to mention is that staff is very supportive: from the beginning till the end.
