When I was deciding where to study, I wanted an education that felt international, practical, and connected to the real world. UNYP gave me exactly that. What I didn’t realise at the time was just how much UNYP would shape not only my education, but also the course of my career, with one of the professors offering me my first job and my involvement with TEDxUNYP kickstarting a global career bridging business and communication.
View moreI studied at UNYP and overall had a very positive experience. What I appreciated most was the international environment, smaller classes, and the chance to interact directly with professors instead of feeling like just another student in a huge lecture hall.
The university has a practical, English-speaking atmosphere, and it is a good fit for students who want an American-style education in the center of Prague. I also liked that many classes encouraged discussion, presentations, and real examples rather than only theory.
Of course, like at any university, some administrative processes can take time and the experience may depend on the program and professors you choose. But from a student perspective, UNYP gave me useful academic experience, international connections, and a lot of personal growth.
I would recommend it to students who want a smaller, international university environment in Prague and are ready to be active in their studies.
View moreI’ve spent the last 3 years at UNYP and it’s been a fantastic experience. The faculty members are incredibly supportive and bring a lot of real-world expertise to the classroom. I feel like the curriculum is actually preparing me for the job market, not just exams.
View moreI liked the approach UNYP has towards students. Professors are knowledgeable and always willing to help. The student council is always organising different activities for students, which really brings the student community together 🙂 i can only recommend UNYP
View moreI’m a business administration student at UNYP. What do I like about UNYP? Well, first of all I want to mention the small class size. It’s nothing like huge lecture halls where you just listen passively or fall asleep in the back row. Smaller classes mean more interaction and more attention from professors. You’re not just a listener but you’re an active participant in discussions. You can ask questions at any moment, and you know the professor will take the time to answer and help you understand. I also love the flexibility in building your own schedule. Knowing your own strengths, habits, and workload, you can plan your semester in a way that works best personally for you. On top of that, there are many electives to choose from just because you’re genuinely interested in the subject area. The whole system feels open and democratic, American style
Throughout my studies I met many professors with whom I built friendly, supportive relationships. They were always ready to help; if a student struggled with a topic, professors were open to meeting on campus to go through the material together. Over the years, I’ve done everything from group projects and presentations to debates and even small performances. It has been a genuinely engaging, memorable, fun experience
And the last thing I want to mention is that staff is very supportive: from the beginning till the end.
A place with a particularly helpful approach to learning, which is based more so on individualistic expression and a back-and-forth dialogue as opposed to simply listening/learning/repeating. Also, it is one the best places for international education that will truly prepare students for a career that transcends borders.
View moreI’m a Business Administration student at UNYP, and I chose this university because of its dual-degree program. I really like the American-style approach to education – smaller classes make it easy to get to know other students, the projects are engaging, and the professors know and support their students.
The professors are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely supportive. They encourage us to reach out with questions and are often willing to schedule extra sessions to review material before exams. We frequently work on group projects, which help us gain a deeper understanding of the subjects we study.
In addition, there’re many clubs and activities that make it easy to connect with others, make friends, and find your community.
View moreI like the small-size study groups in the classes and the practicality of the courses. Currently I am a third-year student in the UNYP, and I can confidently advise high school students to apply to UNYP.
View moreI personally study Business Administration and I really like how the subjects are composed. Moreover, I would say that the way how the University works brings a valuable experience. The grade from the subjects is not composed only of one exam at the end but by several projects, presentations and midterm and final exam which gives students several options how to improve the score. Aditionally, all the exams are finished before Christmas, so no stress during holidays:). Overall, I would recommend the University of New York in Prague.
View moreI liked the dual degree option, so much learning packed in 4 years.
exchange and erasmus opportunities are very well covering the globe (except australia) with other solid university partners
lots of clubs to join
Opportunity to get scholarship makes the private university experience more accessible
academics are above average, i like the fact that many professors have practical real life experiences but some may lack the academic background in teaching
location in the heart of prague close to everything but housing can be difficult
Somethings could be communicated better (you find out somethings as you go and it feels like you can’t have all the info from the beginning, but when can you ever?)
