Studying in the University of Alberta has always been my dream. Not only does it offer generous scholarships to students, but it also provides us the opportunity to choose between a vibrant city (North Campus), and a more rural community (Augustana Campus).
What I dislike of the university is not really a school problem, but is the fact that there is not enough student job opportunities for those willing to work.
This can be discouraging for students who are looking to attain greater job positions in the future, but do not have enough work experience.
I will recommend the University of Alberta especially to international students because they will not be pressured to choose a prominent university in a loud city like the main campus in Edmonton, but can choose to integrate into the Canadian culture by living in the small community in Camrose.
Also, this small campus has specialized courses and majors that cannot be found in many other universities across Canada.
