Though this University has fame countrywide for its education and graduate employment rates, the University is still not good enough to produce a considerable number of graduates who can represent the University worldwide. The university is facing challenges of nepotism teacher recruitment process, student politics, less practical education, corruption, fewer promotions, irregularity in classes, and so on. I think it is time to focus on solving the issues.
View moreEven though the university is considered the topmost ranked university in Bangladesh, the university is still struggling to provide a free and safe campus for students from all socio-political groups. accommodation in this campus is one of the worst among the public universities. Education is comparatively better but it is not the only thing why students get admitted here. this university is also considered as the center of the student’s politics that’s why most of the time the campus environment turn into violent nature. the teachers are not always teachers. sometimes they are politicians, sometimes businessmen, and sometimes bohemians. many of them do not even care about the classes and course syllabus they have to complete. View moreI started my Master’s in Economics at the University of Dhaka in 2019 and completed the degree in 2021. University of Dhaka is undoubtedly the top most public university of Bangladesh where the most talented students can get a chance to pursue their education. It is also a dream of millions of students to study in this university located in the heart of the capital Dhaka. I was fortunate that I had some brilliant and international standard professors and a well-thought course curriculum that includes both practical and theoretical aspects in an integrated way. The program was outstanding. However, I can’t forget the bad experiences of University residence services (Halls) where it is indeed tough to get a good environment, even though there were some colleagues, juniors and seniors who made it possible for me to survive there.
If anyone asks me to rate my program, I would give it 8/10.
