I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the excellent Legal Technology and Responsible AI Programme. The programme provided a valuable opportunity to deepen my understanding of the legal, regulatory, and technological issues surrounding artificial intelligence and data governance. In particular, I would like to thank Prof. Dr. Jan Blockx for his outstanding academic leadership and engaging lectures. The course content was well-structured, insightful, and highly relevant to current developments in technology law. His ability to connect legal theory with practical challenges helped participants better understand the opportunities and risks associated with AI and emerging technologies. I would also like to express my gratitude to Prof. Toon Calders for his excellent contribution to the programme. His clear and accessible explanations of AI concepts provided an important technical perspective that complemented the legal discussions. The interdisciplinary approach greatly enhanced the overall learning experience and strengthened participants' understanding of responsible AI. In addition, I would like to thank Nele Voorspoels for her exceptional administrative support. Her prompt communication, attention to detail, and assistance with travel ensured a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout the course. Overall, the programme exceeded my expectations. The combination of high-quality teaching, excellent organization, and meaningful discussions created an inspiring learning environment.

I’ve just finished my degree in International Tourism & Leisure at Thomas More, and honestly, it’s been an amazing experience. The program gave me a solid understanding of the tourism and hospitality industry and helped me develop both practical and theoretical skills. What I loved most was the international approach and the hands-on projects with real companies, which really prepared me for the professional world. The professors were always supportive and passionate about what they teach, which made a huge difference. On top of that, I met incredible people from all over the world and made friends for life, which made the experience even more special. Thanks to this degree, I’ve gained not only knowledge but also great opportunities to grow and start my career in tourism. Definitely recommend it to anyone interested in this field!
As someone who is about to graduate I look back on my time at UCLL and feel very grateful! The studies challenge us in different ways, the professors are known for their impressive careers before they started lecturing and the international experience is eye-opening. I would recommend the international business management and marketing course if you're open to meet new people and grow in more ways that just learning about business.
I like how you can directly talk to teachers without feeling like there's this hierarchy. I dislike how unorganised things can be such as: poor communication, poor planning: last minute timing etc.... Having a decent study track coach really helps with everything, because this is the individual that knows a lot about your study progress and who you are normally the most in contact with. Which in my case helped me a lot with all types of processes. Such as: admin work, advice on academic goals, future goals related to academia etc... The negative point for Artevelde would also be that they do not provide any parking for students. Therefore, students have to pay a hefty amount to park their car on the street(s) near campus. Meanwhile other universities/hogeschool in Ghent do provide plenty of this. I'd call it absolute greed because they are more than able to provide, instead they like to hoard the parking spaces. For the language courses, there should be more options than the ones they offer, because the major I'm in (international organisation and management) is full of international students and not everyone wants to study: French, Dutch, Spanish or German.... there should be more options... The other issue in my opinion would be that Artevelde is a "Applied Sciences school" which means, if you want to obtain a master degree afterwards, you can't just directly study one, when you're in Belgium or most of the neighbouring countries, you'd have to do a bridging year (a prep year).

Being here has been such a wild ride. Moving to a new country every semester and learning local languages has been both fun and challenging, but it's kinda exhausting too. Still, that hustle gives me an adrenaline rush I low-key love! The best part has been seeing our business ideas come to life and when people genuinely appreciate and engage with something we’ve built, it makes all the hard work worth it.
