before coming to KSMU back in 2018 i had so many doudts about studying medicine. i wondered what my life would be like studying medicine (was I good enough? will I succeed in medicine? etc). 6 years down the road and i can say i made the best decision to come to KSMU. i have had some of the best professors teach and guide me over the years. the study environment is of standard (lab, anatomy museum, clinical stimulation center, hospital classes etc), participation in clinical research and conferences, i have the best groupmates ever, i have made good friends here. i am truly blessed and oppourtuned to be studying here.
Sunway University is one of the best universities in Malaysia, offering extensive exposure to the professional world during studies. As the busiest and most populated campus in Malaysia, it boasts diversity and opportunities for both personal and professional growth. I particularly appreciate their partnership with Lancaster University, UK, which allowed me to graduate with dual degrees, including an Honours degree. What I liked best were my lecturers. Even after graduating, I can still seek their guidance, support, and help personally, and I know they will never turn me down. They catered to each student and ensured we applied everything we learned practically in well-equipped labs. The campus offers convenient amenities, including food options and a canopy walk connecting us to trains, buses, malls, and apartments, saving us time and providing enjoyment with the many activities in Sunway City. We were also connected to parks and hotels, ensuring there was never a dull moment while studying and relieving stress. When my mother required surgery for a severe heart condition, my lecturers allowed me to take a semester online. They showed genuine concern and went out of their way to include me in classes with my peers. The city where Sunway is located is a famous tourist spot, which can make it slightly more expensive compared to the rest of the country. However, I would definitely recommend others to start their journey at Sunway University and experience firsthand how wonderful, helpful, ambitious, and inspiring Malaysian people are.
