Uopeople is a great institution of tertiary education. What stood out the most for me was how versatile the learning environment is and meeting different people and creating meaningful relationships outside the university. However, what I feel needs improvement about it is the grading system of the discussion assignments. Students get to grade each other on the discussion forum rather than the instructor doing it for you.
It does teach students responsibility but it is often catastrophic when you are graded unfairly by struggling students. A student can quiry their grades but if they are cheated almost all the time they might end up just giving up and settling for the unfair grades.
As for the instructors, I really loved them because you have direct contact to them and can easily get clarity from them on whatever you don’t understand. Some went as far as creating zoom lessons for us like Dr Gamble who was my emotional intelligence instructor.
